Umm... was the Duke vote a joke? Steve Spurrier voted Duke 25th, he does it every year. Thank you PTI or ATH or whatever horrible sports talk show it was that told me this.

UCLA 17th? All they did was beat USC last season. Sooooooooo overated - same with Rutgers and their baby Big East schedule.

I can guarantee you if UConn, Syracuse, or any similar Northeast team had a season like Rutgers did in 2006, they would be getting the exact same hype. That said, I think the Big East is improving - I think USF having a solid season would solidify that. But if teams like Rutgers and USF have subpar seasons, let's say, 7-8 wins apiece, which is entirely possible, then we could say the Big East is the worst of the six BCS conferences. I need to see at least one more good season from the BE as a whole to convince me they are more legitimate.
