I flat out hate the SEC, and thier fans. I mean, I don't have a problem with fans like Bama and Leak, who are objective and don't go around saying "SEC IS DA BEST AND DA BIG TEN SUCKS TEH SUXORS" and shit like that. But it is the rest of the SEC that does do that shit.
I mean, one victory and all of a sudden they are the clear-cut best. I mean, how quickly they brush aside the fact that the Big Ten was 2-1 against the SEC in Bowl Games. And they are always saying that the four and five team would win the Big Ten, but, we beat their #3 and #4 teams with OUR #3 and #4 teams.
Sorry, I just needed to rant.

I hate OSU fans who can't get over it. I am over it, I am just complaining about all the shit I have to hear from SEC fans now. Well, I mean, we are the best. That's not a discredit to some of the top flight Big 10 schools, they can certainly play in the SEC and be like a Georgia or Florida. My argument goes back to depth and being good enough to survive a slate against 5 or 6 ranked teams in conference play. Check out UFs schedule this year, they have trips to LSU and Tennessee, host Auburn, play Georgia at a neutral site, at South Carolina (lord Spurrier), and of course Ole Miss! (Bad example) Still, Ohio State shouldn't take much crap. Florida beat the piss out of you guys, because you weren't ready. Florida was not that much better than you guys last year. They were better, but not blow you out of the water good. Their defense came prepared, and they had one of the nation's best last year. It's hard to win against that. Yeah though, I still want to add the SEC is a better conference than any in the NCAA, it's just not heads and shoulders about the Pac 10, Big 10, and Big 12. Just better...

FWIW... a comparison of 40 times of LSU's starting defense, and Ohio State's starting defense, to really see how much faster the SEC's best team so far is than the Big Ten's best team so far.. Note: One LSU player wasn't included because his 40 time couldn't be verified. Note 2: These are from when they were recruited, so they may have changed. Note 3: I didn't find these, this was put together by a West Virginia graduate assistant, with the 40 times coming from Rivals. /Waits to be hear how these 40 times are falsified.

I can't say anything about 40 times, but I can say that you did a nice job proving your insecurities by rehashing a very old topic. Good job.

I am sorry if I take offense to hearing about my terrible my team is and the fact that nearly 120 years of excellent football is thrown out the window because of one bad game. Really, truly sorry. Hey Sportsbuck, your conference kind of sucks this year. Oh and the SEC is still better than you...that is all. I'll admit it does, but we could end up with 10 teams bowl eligible this year, which would match the SEC. But, that is thrown out the window and discounted because "The Big Ten Sucks".

Yeah, we're actually all busy beating each other and everyone goes 6-6. Make the records 8-4/ 9-3 and wallah, there's the SEC for you. (Not trying to bag on them... SEC > Big Ten, but I'm just saying.)

Michigan got blown out by a fast 1-AA school and the last time they played anybody with good speed (Oregon and USC) they got smoked. Last time OSU played a team with speed i think we all know what happened. Big ten licks my balls.

Yeah, we're actually all busy beating each other and everyone goes 6-6. You sound like the SEC with that...and Pac 10 this year as well. The SEC may end up with 11 bowl eligable teams this year. Look at the SEC East, in last place is 5 win Vanderbilt. The East has a realistic shot of having all six teams with at least a 6-6 record. The only team that is holding us back is...ahem....Ole Miss. If we had an even decent coach here I think the talent is around to be a mid level team. Coach Yaw-Yaw needs to go......... Oh and the SEC is still better than the Big Ten.

Last time OSU played a team with speed i think we all know what happened. That game wasn't about effing speed dumbass. We sat on our asses for five weeks and let ourselves get built up as unbeatable (And we also took the Michigan win as the equivalent of a MNC, which it was in Novemeber and December), and our guys decided all they needed to do was show up. Then you have a Florida team that is disrespected for a whole month, and shows up to play all game long. Though, I have to give it to Meyer and the Gators. Perfect gameplan and perfect execution by the most talented team in the country last year. Check the picture I posted there bud, if you want to see how much faster your defense is than ours.

40 times do not matter that much. Quickness to the ball, reaction time, ect all factor into that. Plus, an elite level program like Ohio State is going to have similar speed to any other elite program. When you can cherry pick players, your almost assured to get great speed.
The Big Ten overall is a slow conference, but Ohio State didn't lose to Florida because of that. Urban Meyer just kicked Jim Tressel's ass. That and Florida had talent that Ohio State had not seen all year playing in the Big Ten (if you debate this, you're just wrong) and Florida had already gone toe to toe with LSU (who was probably the most talented team in the country last year). Basically Florida was the best team last year and they proved it.

Who gives a shit what conference is better? The best team doesn't have to necessarily come out of the best conference. It isn't their fault their conference sucks if let's say, they're coming from the Big Ten or Big East.
