www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvfpK67RjEEI was looking back on the Boise State vs. Oklahoma Fiesta Bowl game tonight. Call me crazy but I believe this was the best game played in the last 25+ years. I haven't watched every game but from the big games I have watched none compare IMO to this game. How many time do you get to see the hook n lateral and the Statue of Liberty play in a matter of 30 minutes and see both work. Not only those two plays but the play that allows the Broncos to attempt the Statue Of Liberty. How gutsy is it to have your HB throw on 4th down in the biggest game of the season. I look back and can't remember a game in which the overall gameplay compares to this. Sure Texas vs. USC was good, Miami vs. Ohio State, those were great, but this game showed so many of college football's aspects that seperate it from the NFL.

Where have you been? That's all we've been hearing for the past 6-7 months.
Although, I'd take Miami vs Ohio State over all of them.

Any opinion's that aren't homer on this? Lol, just busting on you guys, I'd be that way too if I had something even close to one of the best games in recent history with the Nittany Lions. I do think it's easy to say...
1. Boise/OU 2. Texas/USC 3. Ohio State/Miami
That's in the recent memory anyway. I haven't seen every game in the past 25 years so I don't think it's fair for me to say.

I don't get what makes Texas/USC such a great game. And Texas is also my second favorite team, so don't think that it's just because I'm a Buckeye fan.

I think it was more the play of the stars on the team. It was exciting and Bush and Young kept pulling off unbelievable plays to help their team. I don't know I can honestly say the only thing I remember is that last VY touchdown and screaming that he was gonna run to the right as he had all game...sure enough. There are few games that are as much of a nailbiter as that was.

Best in 25 years? The 1984 Orange Bowl says hello. I'm going to actually have to think about more but there's an example of a game better than the Boise game. That was an amazing game, one for the ages, but not the best of all time.

1984, yes, and at the Orange Bowl, yes, but not that individual game.

1984, yes, and at the Orange Bowl, yes, but not that individual game. That's the game that cost Keith Byers the Heisman. Without that pass, Flutie ain't shit.

Don't hate on Flutie. That guy's the man... not even Peyton Manning with all of his endorsement deals can say he has his own cereal...

One play made that game, no one knows anything more about that game then the last play. I bet no one knows the score of that game without looking it up.

I didn't look it up, and doubt I'm right but I know both teams were in the 30's. Something like 38-34?
