and sportsbuck I heard Lawrence Wilson broke his leg? It has now been confirmed that it was a broken leg, and he is expected to take a medical redshirt this year. No skin off my bones, since Robert Rose is 6'5, around 300 pounds now and still has linebacker speed.

Well what a great start to my weekend!
I got to watch App St take it to Michigan. Yes DirecTV rocks. Also I went to an Alabama party to watch the paperview game and boy was it glad to see that the Tide are back with passion.
Holy Shit, Terry Grant is going to go down in history. The kid is really going to be great. I know it was just Western Carolina, but seeing his movement and acceleration, he is just a miracle who happens to be a Freshmen. So after Alabama stomps them 52-6, my night isn't over yet.
Although Auburn pulled off the win, it was great to watch that second half and watch them struggle the entire game to a Kansas team. Also Tennessee gets ripped by Cal. God I love college football, and I love Nick Saban...

Awesome start to an awesome season. Watched App. St shock the Wolverines and then went to the A&M/Montana State game. I'm already ready for next week.

I know that since Cal beat Tennessee there is going to be tons of who is the best conference crap going around. We will never know which is really the best because USC will never schedule LSU or Arkansas. Cal won't schedule Arky, LSU, Alabama. Sure Cal beat Tennessee, but they aren't exactly cream of the crop this year in the SEC.

I really do hate you Spartan. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to turn on every channel on see them block the kick or carry the coach off the field...

I don't know if I've ever seen anyone rub things in as much as Spartan...
But hell, at the moment, it sure is funny.

What can I say, I have a deep passion for my school. Believe me, when there is a chance to jump on scUM, I will. Maize, please, let me enjoy a little bit of college football season. I haven't had a chance to do that in a long damn time. From our coach slapping himself, to our players planting the flag at the 40 and not the 50. Believe me I could go on and on. It's nice for my team to have some hope this year. UM will bounce back, and with the way MSU's corners are this year, I'm sure Henne will have a field day. Let me enjoy it now. Because if this group of players for MSU's is any indicator, I might not be so happy come October and November. Not to mention the nations 4th toughest schedule by rivals. But for now, it's Christmas come early! BTW- Week one for my team, I love Mark Dantonio. I already notice a difference in my team this year. It's much more of a class act than it was with JLS. He gets in people's faces and the guy plays until the end. Great choice. Best thing of all, he hates Meatchicken.

Well give him a break too, his team was ranked #5 and just lost to a D-1AA school at home on opening weekend. Oh, and Meatchicken is without a doubt the stupidest insulting Michigan nickname. It makes no sense.

I didn't say I didn't KNOW the nickname, I said I thought it was stupid. I mean, chicken is good, especially barbecued.
Also, the sub-headline in the local paper today: "Thank God - and Comcast - nobody saw this"

Good - AppSt beating Michigan, holy crap was I glad I was at my cousins' and that they have DirecTV.
Bad - Notre Dame, I love how they're gonna be awful this year.
Ugly - Army, specifically Pevoto. Sorry, had to throw that bad boy in there, but it's gonna be yet another long year for all one of us on this forum.

In more pressing news Penn State wins 59-0 and is going to make a sexy time to Notre Dame next week. Our linebackers are the best in the Big Ten (and they are white)!

I wish I could be at the game next week. My friend won't be cool and give me his ticket. I might go and tailgate though. It would be worth it.
