Michigan State's offensive line was terrible in their first games against cupcake opponents, but hopefully you guys will pick it up against ND. Ohio State- 48 Northwestern- 6 Tressel has not forgotten that he was the first Ohio State coach to lose to Northwestern in 30 years in 2004, and we have outscored them 101-17 since then. Oh, yeah, called it. And also, Joe Pa and the Penn State coaching staff are an absolute disgrace for their horrid offensive gameplanning. App. St. and Oregon ran spread offenses out of no-huddle all game and were able to dominate Michigan (Although to be fair they both had mobile quarterbacks when PSU doesn't), so what does PSU do? They try and put Morelli under center and drop back 5-7 steps every time. Not very smart.

Not really worried about Mizzou, as they have Illinois State at home this week. I'm just more worried about the Big 12 itself. Oklahoma State lays an egg at Troy last week, and A&M gets whacked against the 'Canes. The Ags had better get faster on defense, or it's going to be a long year in College Station. Never thought I'd say this, but the Big 12 North looks MUCH better than the South at this point, sans Oklahoma. I'm sure that trend will reverse as conference play begins, but it's a little disconcerting all the same. Yea. We suck. And Fran is gone after this year no matter how he finished the season. I hope the LSU defensive coordinator will want to come to A&M, but I doubt it. Thats the name that's been tossed around quite a bit here in College Station. My Rant: One of the most successful runningbacks in college football, get only 2 carries and only picks up 2 yards! Bad playcalling. Running draws and delays against one of the fastest defenses in the country...bad idea. Once again, all frans fault. Not giving the ball to the best tight end in the nation (I'm biased), again frans fault. Throw it up to money-b he's 6'7 he'll catch anything thrown his way. And finally, Fran needs some balls. He won't go for it on 4th and 6 and get a net punt of 11 yards and then he goes for it on 4th and 17...come on. And finally, Stephen McGee is overhyped and I've known it from day 1. He is an excellent leader and tough player, but when we have no receivers and no playcalling, the qb has got to be able to take some risks and make some plays out of nothing. He doesn't. If you watched the game you saw Jerrod Johnson come in late and scramble around and heave a pass up to Money-B that resulted in a touchdown...that's what I like to see more of even though its risky. IT IS TIME FOR FRAN TO GO! </extremely long rant> What I'm about to say probably won't set well, but I've never been very high on either Lane or Bennett. Bennett has all of the physical abilities in the world, but (I'm biased, too lol) Rucker/Coffman have the production. I would take Travis Beckum of Wisconsin or Carlson of ND over Bennett at this point, as well. Maybe it's the offensive schemes or whatnot, but it's just hard to judge when you can't see him play or his stats. All of that said, don't write the season off yet. Big 12 play starts, and it's a whole new ballgame from there.

Even though that's not fair of an comparision. They ran Shotgun with 3 WRs or more 17 plays, and they ran Ace back with 3 or more WRs on 18 more plays. They ran I-Form and other various formations 14 times against us. (http://mgoblog.blogspot.com/2007/09/upon-further-review-defense-vs-notre.html)

Maybe it was more or less because I watched more of the OSU-NW game, but that was just what I saw in my limited time.
Edit: Also, they failed to adjust to an aggressive Michigan defense by continuing to throw middle-to-deep routes instead of tearing them up with short ones.
Penn St.'s 3rd down pass defense didn't help them out too much either.

I would definitely take some of those guys over Bennett in the passing game because Bennett doesn't have time to shine with us running the ball all game long. But I must say bennett is a tremendous blocker, he always pushes his guy all the way out of bounds. As for lane, he has some of the quickest feet for a big guy, but he's not that good. He's just so big he can run over smaller guys. He still should get more than 2 carries.

You don't want Pelini as your head coach. He isn't a head coach because he doesn't recruit. It is known that he doesnt recruit at all so he can never be a head coach until he starts doing that.
And yall can hate because LSU is the best team in the nation this year.
