How to Keep Academic Prestige High?

Does anyone know how to keep academic prestige from slipping. I am playing as stanford and really my only good attribute is an elite in academics. However, despite (at least for the most part) recruiting guys with high awareness my academics slipped to excellent. While that is still really good it annoys me that it slipped.

Does anyone know why this is and how to fix it?

I always thought it had something to do with recruits field awareness, and how many suspensions you have to give out.

it did in past years but in 08 for the 360 there are no suspensions and despite having alot of my recruits A or better in awareness it went down.
