If I'm an OSU fan, I'm pulling for everyone who plays LSU or Oregon and hoping to get Kansas in the championship. I think both LSU and Oregon beat OSU by 2 TDs.

Im listening to ESPN radio and I didn't notice how OSU has like a two month break after they play Michigan. Even if they do go undefeated- that kind of layoff is not good. Just look at what happened to the Buckeyes when they played Florida.
I dont have a problem anymore with the Bucks going to the National title game but I hope the game won't be a blowout. I'm hoping that Oregon and Kansas(hey, i like rooting for the underdog) can get a shot.

Hey Sportsbuck, I was hoping for a more in depth breakdown. What do you see OSU's strengths are as compared to weakness, ect.
Here's the thing to remember, the MNC game is in NOLA, so no one wants LSU there because LSU would have a home field advantage. That is just scary, playing the most talented team in America in a dome stadium with 50,000 rowdy drunk coonasses yelling their asses off. I don't care how good OSU is, they are backing into a nasty situation if they have to play LSU, a team that is better than they are (well again, I'm assuming since i've seen little of OSU this year).

I think it will end up being Ohio State and LSU in the title game. If they win out from here on out, then that's what it will be. Oregon against LSU would be a good matchup too.
Kansas against any team with speed is a horrible, horrible match-up. For the love of God, you do NOT want them in the title game, unless you want to see them lose 45-10 or something like that. They could be out of the hunt for the NC as early as this week as they play Oklahoma State, a team that's tough to beat at home with a balanced offensive attack.
The Big 12 has a great chance to get two teams in the BCS. Oklahoma and Mizzou are in great position as both teams are past the tough parts of their schedules and will likely meet in San Antonio for the B12 title. With one loss, Kansas will sink like a rock due to their weak SOS, and could be out of BCS contention right there and then.

I'll work on that breakdown, but remember they have to sell X% amount of tickets to the opposing team and we travel better than anyone in the country. Edit: I'll put up a breakdown of our strengths, weaknesses, and such once I get back from a 3:30 doctors appointment.

About Mike Hart's MSU brother comment.... If we're his little brother then what is Ohio State? His Daddy? What is App. State, his physically challenged younger cousin that went to his house and beat him on his own court?

LSU will get like 35%, Ohio State will get like 35%, and the other 30% or so will be bought up by locals/other desperate fans. I promise you the Dome will be like 65% LSU. Oh and Ohio State is good enough to beat LSU. As long as you can stop the run and don't turn the ball over a lot LSU is beatable. If LSU didn't shoot themselves in the foot so often that wouldn't be the case...

If Kansas wins out they deserve to play in the championship game, no questions at all. I'll give them props if they do make it, but they won't even make it to the Big 12 title game, let alone the MNC.

Ohio State Strengths - Definately our secondary. We have what is easily the best coverage and best tackling secondary in the country, which is why the nickel is our base set 90-95% of the time. Malcolm Jenkins is the nation's best cover corner, and he cuts the field in half, and Donald Washington is developing into a shut-down guy on the other side. Anderson Russell is the best safety I've seen at Ohio State since I started watching Buckeye football.. but if only he could hang onto the damn ball (4 dropped INT's right through his hands). Kurt Coleman is a big hitter to support the run, and also is one of the better SS's in the conference. Chikmdi Chekwa is a beast as a nickelback, as well. - Linebacking core should go without mention, although keep an eye on Larry Grant. Doesn't get the pub of Freeman and Laurinaitis, but he is the most consistent out of the trio. We have so much depth at this position that it's not even funny. Ross Homan is a guy that will play at any of the spots off the bench, and so is Brian Rolle. - Our defensive line is average, but I would undoubtedly take 06's D-line if given the choice. Vernon Gholston and Cam Heyward are fabulous at ends, but the DT's are suspect. Some weeks they show up (MSU), and others they don't (Wisky). - Offensive line and Chris Wells. The biggest reason for Todd Boeckman's success is that he has enough time to sit back there, read a book, drink tea, watch a movie, and find the open receiver. Wells is a beast, should go without mention. - Our receiving targets are much better than last year. Last year, we relied to heavily on Ginn, Gonzo, and Robo a little bit. This year, we spread it around so much.
Ohio State Weaknesses - Our DT's. They stepped up vs MSU's 9th ranked rushing attack, but then were non-existant before the 4th quarter against Wisconsin. - Maurice Wells. He is Beanie's backup, and is a huge drive killer. Wouldn't be surprised to see freshman Brandon Saine take over the backup role before the season is over. - Blocking on kicks. Pretorius has had 4 kicks blocked this year, and if this continues, it could kill us in a close game. - Kick-motherfreaking-off Coverage. Twice, TWICE our kickoff team has let the opposition add to their point total when our defense had played great (Including against NW to prevent a shutout). If we play LSU, Holliday will have a field day. - An injury to our safeties. Should Russell or Coleman get hurt, we'd have to put Jamario O'Neal in the game. Let's just say that Jamario O'Neal was beat countless times against Michigan last year, and that won't change this year. If they do get injured, I'd look for Jenkins to move to safety, and Chekwa and Washington to man the corners.

Yeah thanks for that man. I'm sad I haven't been able to see them in action this year. I think you'd rather see Oregon than LSU if d-line is an issue, because LSU isn't shy about busting out the power running game. Either way, Ohio State (if they make it) won't get shit stomped like last year...

They showed up for real in most games, but in others are glaring weaknesses.

sparty, you are the most passionate Spartan fan I know. That's not a bad thing though because u make me laugh with all your UM hate. Well, it just tickles me inside when Mouth Hart picks on MSU when he is 0-3 against OSU, 0-3 in bowl games, a 7-5 season, and a loss to Appalachian State. I'm glad he can pick on teams like Notre Dame and MSU, who have been struggling as of late, but then when it comes time to play with the big boys, he doesn't do jack shit. Well Mikey, it's okay. You came back to win a National Championship, to beat OSU, and win a Big Ten Title. Well 0-3 ain't bad.
