I think he's played well enough for it. He dominated FSU all day on Saturday. Being a Gators fan though, I don't like how every announcer is all over him. They just love him more then their own kids it seems like.

My vote was for Dennis Dixon before he went down. I would have had Daniel in it, but he joined the party a bit late.
I've come around to Tebow the last few weeks.

He is the best player in the country. No doubt about it.

I voted no not because I don't think he will win it, but because I don't want him too win it. Lets just face it, a quarterback who can run is almost unfair. It's like he is getting double the stats which is going to help his Heisman chances.
Sorry, but anybody who runs for 300+ yards against an SEC opponent deserves to win the Heisman. McFadden is a great player and deserves that trophy. I think he deserved it before the LSU game, and the LSU game should have just put a lid on it.
Tebow is only a Sophomore and will have two more great years to have a shot at the Heisman. Give it too the real hero in McFadden. After all, isn't the Heisman about somebody who leads their team to victory. Last time I checked, Florida didn't have the dream season...

20/20 and the perfect fit for that UF offense, there is no doubt who should win the Heisman. There are only two guys who really compare, and I've seen them both in person this year, Darren McFadden and Chase Dainel. I think Tebow's stats are just too impressive not to give it to him.

But here is the thing. I think Tebow is just used in the right ways. I say if you take Pat White, Juice Williams, or heck even any quarterback who can run. I think they could put up the same numbers...

If Pat White was in the SEC playing in that offense, he wouldn't be able to stay healthy at all. That's not a knock on him by any stretch, it's just that Tebow's style of play and the offense he plays in isn't conducive to a 6'1", 185-pound quarterback playing in that version of the spread. White's very good in the offense he's in now.
Juice would be a better fit, but he's far too erratic as a passer to really make an impact.
In all honesty, about the only quarterback that could play in that offense similar to Tebow is Chase Daniel, and that's even somewhat of a stretch. He's not the bowl-you-over runner Tebow is, but Daniel isn't afraid to put his shoulder down and knock the piss out of someone from time-to-time.
