We got the D2, and D3 championship games today.
D2 is on ESPN2 right now, between Northwest Missorui State and Valdosta State.
D3 is on @ 4 on ESPN between Mount Union and Wisconsin Whitewater. This is the 3rd straight year these two teams have met. I've seen Mount Union play every single year the past 5 years, and this is easily the best Mount Union team ever, a fact confirmed by opposing coaches and athletic directors when my dad spoke to them in private, and that is scary as shit for anybody.

I can't believe this shit. Three straight years they've been there, and they crap it away for the THIRD time in a row.

Yes.
Terrible, terrible decision to not try and stop the clock on VSU's last drive. They ran way too much time off the clock, and all we could do was just hope for a good return and get a few shots downfield.
A rare, rare coaching mistake by Coach T.

God damn this basketball game can't get over quick enough. I just want to see me some D-III action and see if this Mount squad plays like they did when I saw them on October 27th.

So uh...so much for that amazing Mount Union defense. I fully expect them to win this game, but it looks like Wisconsin-Whitewater aren't the pushovers they normally face.

They don't normally face pushovers. The OAC is the nation's best conference in D-III, but Mount Union is just so much more talented than everybody else.

Um, Sportsbuck, can you explain how much more talented they are than everyone else when they've given the ball back to Wisky-Whitewater not once, not twice, not even thrice, but... fourth-ice!

Top to bottom, the OAC is the best conference in D-III and that is a concencus as to among D-III fans. Hell, our 2nd best team, Capital (Which is my dad's alma mater) gave Whitewater a helluva game despite being down to our 3rd string quarterback. Um, Sportsbuck, can you explain how much more talented they are than everyone else when they've given the ball back to Wisky-Whitewater not once, not twice, not even thrice, but... fourth-ice! Yes. For one, Mount Union operates primarily out of a spread offense that relies on the pass to set up the run, and the conditions are making it hard to do that. Secondly, W-W has a very underrated defense not to mention the fact that they have the motivation of losing the past to NC games to this very Mount Union squad. And as I type, Mount Union's comeback has begun. It's enevitable folks, no matter how much you want them to lose, they always come back.

They may be the best conference, but it doesn't change the fact that Mount Union and Wisky-WW seem to be the class of that entire Division. I think Mount Union wins because they are more talented, but WW has a really good defense and these conditions are going to make it a close finish.

Agreed on that, but it will be interesting to see what happens if Kehres leaves.

W-W takes a 24-14 lead. But don't go counting Mount Union out here, they have an air of invincibility that surrounds them.
That said, regardless of who wins I'll be happy. If Mount wins, it's good for conference pride. If W-W wins, than there is a blue-print of how to beat Mount (And my favorite D-III school has the talent to do it) and Mount Union's best team ever will go out 2nd best.

Yeah, go ahead and do that. I said they'd come back, I didn't say they'd win. Coming back and making it a game and winning it are two different things.

Its not that hard to interpret "no matter how much you want them to lose, they always come back." Into they are going to come back and win. And since you said lose in the first part, what else would you mean by coming back. Coming back to win, of course.
Its ok, we are all wrong about a game or two, here and there.
