I'm getting my 360 with NCAA 08 and I figured I might start a dynasty on here with Michigan State, but dynasties seem to be fading out and don't want to waste time.
Should I do it? How much interest do I have?

Just letting you know ahead of time NCAA 08 sucks.

Just letting you know ahead of time NCAA 08 sucks. Recruiting will keep me into it.

Way too many interceptions and way too many turnovers. That and it's the easiest version of NCAA to date.

Is the recruiting as good as it's been talked about?

I dont know what buck's talking about. I thought 08 was probably the most realistic version in years. The recruiting is alot of fun as well.

The recruiting is a lot of fun but it can get a little tedious. Sometimes you just like to play a damn game but then you have to do like 15 or more of recruiting and it gets quite annoying.
CJ, are you playing on the 360? Because on the 360 interceptions run rampant pre-patch and post-patch as do fumbles. Not to mention that the deep ball is virtually impossible and defensive lines are non-existant. The only way to generate any pressure on the passer is blitzing your linebackers and defensive backs. Hell, I played as Ohio State with a defensive line 99 ovr across against Tulane with their best OL being 82 and I still couldn't generate any pressure with my front four regardless of my schemes.
Unless you have an HDTV, you can't see your outside receivers unless you roll out. Otherwise, your throwing blind, and you just hope that the corner isn't sitting on the route your throwing.
There is absolutely ZERO atmosphere whatsoever. This is the biggest game-killer for me. When I beat Michigan, when I win a Bowl game, or when I win a national championship there is no celebration. Not even the PS2 one, where they just carried the coach and stuff. Just takes you to the post-game menu. Crowds have no effect on the game either.

INTs were a problem at first but after a while of playing it evened out. I think I threw like 10 or something my past year and my QB wasn't that good and I intercepted like 15-20 something.
Fumbles have been a problem and the recruiting can be tedious but I am pretty proficient at it and it can take me about 5 min per week with a full recruiting board.
I also hate the fact you can't see outside WRs but I am usually rolling out or if I dont I run routes over the middle. But usually I have a pretty good feel about whether I can complete the pass or not.
The long ball I have no problem with cause most of the time my long passes are corner or post routes or go routes of PAP or Option passes.
The most frustrating things are the LBs using "jetpacks" to get picks and the blocking on some running plays. Sometimes the oline steps left despite the ball going right and that is the exact opposite of what an o-line is supposed to do.

Turnovers are not a problem for me. I throw between 7-15 ints a year, which I think is legit. I do get a few too many on defense, but it's never unrealistic. Fumbles are the same way, you just have to cover the ball when you are about to get mauled.
My problem is the lack of atmosphere. That is the only thing Sportsbuck was right...

For you XBL guys, there's a patch out there now that's supposed to fix the turnover problem.
Problem is, I'm well into my dynasty over at DSM, and I really don't want to restart it.

You don't have to restart for the patch to take effect.

Sparty, just go to digital sports mania and start a dynasty. you'd get a lot of attention since NCAAF dynasties are so dominate over there.

I thought this year's version wasn't bad. Find good sliders! That is the top thing to do. You always are able to put together good storylines and game recaps, so I echo a move to DSMOS, it saved my LA chise.

I'm not going to do a dynasty, basically because I'm lazy. But that's not what this is about.
Anyone else notice in this game that Chris Wells is like Chuck Norris? I have never seen him drop on the first hit.

Well, makes sense. He rarely drops on the first hit in real life.
Usually takes 2-3 guys to bring him down, as it does with most great backs.
Edit: Here's Wells' stats in my dynasty..
2007: 289 atttempts, 1,681 Yards (5.8 YPC), 20 TD's 2008: 264 atttempts, 1,529 Yards (5.8 YPC), 13 TD's
Beast.

I just simmed a 2007 season as UGA so I could get to 2008 and play that. And Wells led the nation with some 2000 yards and 20 TDs. So yeah, beast indeed.
Oh and btw I played 12-0 Hawaii in the Sugar Bowl, they were averaging 50 ppg, and 431 passing ypg. I won 45-14.
Ha.
