Is recruiting in this game a little weird to you all? I finished getting a National Championship with Maryland in my first year (Not on highest diff.)....and I got 4 five star recruits, all of which were already 90 OVR or higher. Seems kinda odd that they're so high so quickly.

Recruting was a big reason I went for ESPN this year. The dynasty mode is much better than MMs. Hopefully they will change it for next year because I always like getting the EA games over any other.

BSUBronco, how are you liking the gameplay in ESPN? Just curious, cause I'm kind of the same opinion as you regarding the EA-bias. I bought MM for the gameplay, but I still love the dynasty mode. I'm running my first UK dynasty right now, currently 7-0.
I just never thought the gamplay on the Sega games was as good. Just a personal opinion, I know others feel differently.

I totally agree Steven. I just love the gameplay of MM, it's about the only thing that keeps me hooked. Too bad MM looks like it was thrown together in a short time, because if they put some time into it, this game would be a great one. Too bad, some of us prefer basketball over football. I'm not one of them but some are like that and I think they should make that game great for those people.

I think the gameplay in ESPN is great. It has completely changed from the previous Sega ones. And it goes into a lot more detail with the crowd and arenas. The graphics on ESPN are way better then MM's too. There are a few glitches tho and they are very small. None of them really impact the gameplay. The biggest complaint people have is that sometimes your player will pull back and shoot when they get close to the basket instead of layup or dunk. This can be mostly corrected with the tons of sliders the game has. I played both MM and ESPN before I decided on which game to get and I thought ESPN really outweighed MM for me overall. I think MM does have a better gameplay but not but much. This is all just my opinion, others might differ. If you want to check 2 reviews out try reading these- ps2.ign.com/articles/441/441652p1.html (MM, got an 8.5 score) ps2.ign.com/articles/440/440637p1.html (ESPN, got an 8.7 score)

Alright BSU since you have ESPN College Hoops I have a few questions. First off, I have MM but I got to reading about the legacy mode thing and that really peaked my interest. Is that any good?
Second question, how is the gameplay? Is is similar to last year's game or totally different.
That's about all that matters to me. I just wanna hear an opinion from somebody that has the game.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance. Legacy mode is definitely why I bought this game. It is the greatest NCAA Bball one to come out. You get to recruit all year long and there are tons of prospects. You hire and fire your coaching staff. When you start your legacy you can either do open or career. With open you get to pick whatever team you want and go from there. Career is the most challenging part of the game. You start with some crappy team and have to build them up. You apply and get offers from other schools when you do well. Gameplay- WAY improved over last year's game. It is similar in the basics but most of it has been changed. The atmosphere while playing your game is a great addition too. The one thing besides the close shots than can bug people is the free throws, which really suck. There are a few glitches that need to be worked out for next year, but as I said before most can easily look past them.

If the free throws are anything like Sega 2k3, then they really do suck. I couldn't figure that out for the life of me. You had to use both analog sticks, and make the two arrows line up. Then you had to use a third finger to hit the shoot button. It was very difficult.
