I have never owned an NCAA Basketball game. I was wondering which one would be a better buy. I have NBA Live 04 and ESPN Basketball 2K5, but other than that, I have no experience with basketball games. PLease post the pros and cons of each.

I would go with ESPN for college basketball. Last year it was the better game, and this year its 20 bucks (but I think EA dropped March Madness to 30).
You can also import the draft classes from College Hoops to NBA....you can't do it on EA's college game.
Since you already have ESPN NBA, I'd get ESPN College Hoops too.

March Madness (EA) plays a lot like NBA Live...last year MM 2004 played like Live 2004, and I expect it personally. However, this year, you cannot import draft classes into Live. Dynasty mode is pretty deep as always, if you've ever played NCAA Football, it's a lot like that. It is pretty much NBA Live Jr. ESPN is entering its 3rd year of making college hoops games. However, you wouldn't know it. It's got the ESPN presentation and such, but this year, you can create a coach and guide him through many seasons of legacy mode. In-season recruiting and e-mail are there also. You can import draft classes into ESPN NBA, and the infamous NBA time-out glitch has been fixed in college hoops. Plus, the graphics look great, and it has something else: ESPN News. On Xbox (or PS2 with a hard drive), you go to ESPN News after your legacy game. You can watch actual video highlights of your game, and you can read a 10-page story on your game, as well as others. (Of course for PS2 without the HDD, you only get snapshots.) So for anybody who doesn't have the creativity to write up a decent recap, you can just type what ESPN News has. And the best thing...Dick Vitale isn't screaming "THAT WAS UNBELIEVABLE BABY!" after every damn play. Personally, I love ESPN (or what I'm seeing of it in the previews). ESPN ships November 17 (this Tuesday) and MM is a week later, I think. Any more questions can be posted for me.

march madness ships monday... it was moved back from nov 2nd so it would be unavailable for the EA 3 for 2 deal..... but for now it's selling at 40, which is better than the 50 i paid last year for it. I enjoyed MM04 last year.... once again it's another game my buddies and I all preordered solely for xbox live.
