I apologize if this subject has been breached before, but in working on my Long Island dynasty today, I noticed a little oddity.
The Ivy League had no representative in the NCAA Tournament.
Now, I know they have no conference tournament, but doesn't that regular season champion get the automatic bid to the tourney? I'm just a little bit confused right now, so if someone could clear up this snafu for me, it'd be appreciated. It may just be a glitch, I don't konw, but it's driving me crazy.

I believe that Ivy League schools prohibit postseason play in all sports in order to focus more on academics. At least that's what I've heard in the past.

No, I'm sure that's not it because Pennsylvania was a 13 seed in this past year's tournament. They lost to Boston College in the first round.

You sure? I believed they had been excluded once, but they turned out to be in the Play-In game.

I don't know about the exclusion rule, but I do know for a fact that the Ivy League regular season champion gets an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Penn or Princeton usually have been the representatives the past few years. That must be a glitch in the video game then.

Hah, yeah, Keeper nailed it. I've never paid much attention at all to the play-in game, so Brown just slipped by me. They lost, so when I was looking at conference standings, the Ivy League had no team with a seed, which is where the confusion began.
Thanks guys.

You go up 1-1 with the worst player on a team and tell me how it works out.

Granted, they aren't currently football or basketball powerhouses, but in quite a few other sports, they are one of if not the top conference. Over the past 15 years:
18 team or individual NCAA championships in men's and women's fencing 10 men's and women's lacrosse NCAA championships 12 men's and women's crew NCAA championships 5 team or individual NCAA championships in women's swimming and diving 10 individual men's and women's NCAA championships in track 5 champions, 4 runners up, and 3 third place finishers in wrestling
And a basketball player named Michael Jordan went to Penn.
And I know several athletes competing for the schools.
