Looking for feedback on my Holy Cross dynasty

Hello all. I'm looking for some feedback on my Holy Cross dynasty. I've been tinkering with how things post on the site, so as I get better with that hopefully I'll be able to improve the presentation. I don't really have the time to put together the awesome layouts I see, so I'm mainly looking for feedback on realism and the writing. I haven't determined yet if I want to keep the dynasty from the perspective of the HC media information office, or if I want to do it more from the general media standpoint. The previews tend to go the first way, the reports the second.

Anyway, any feedback would be helpful. Again, I'm not trying to compete with some of the awesome layouts that are up there... I don't think I'll ever get that far, and I simply don't have the time. But I really enjoy doing the writing, so that's where the focus will be.

Thanks so much. I'm really glad I found this site. I thought back when I started logging my NCAA college football schedules in a notebook that I was the only one who did this, but I guess not! Glad to see I've found a fraternity of sorts for this kind of relaxation and entertainment and fun.

You have a nicely-written site. But some of the people do notice sites that have a little more html/pictures. You seem to know what you're doing. So maybe in the game recaps you could add some pics and stuff like that. I think you have a good site going anyways.

As time permits and I get a bit more creative with things, I'll start posting pictures, making more tables. But the more ambitious the site gets, I'll wind up spending more time on it rather than the games themselves, LOL.

I understand where you're coming from. Too much stuff is bad IMO. I know on my site I have a good amount. But I made sure that the stuff is easy to update.

But I saw the progression of your site to where you have boxscores, that was a good touch.

I'm starting to get to the point where I understand where certain things should go... i.e. instead of making boxscores separate, I put them in with the recap, like a real recap you'd see on the AP. Also I'm trying to keep the top stories more for stories and game previews. Although at some point I think the way I will go is create some kind of homepage... that's the long run plan anyway.

I put all my stuff in the recap, and I like it. That way I don't have to make all those news articles.

I know it can be frustrating waiting for votes, but more seem to be coming. Just don't do more than you want to, because if you do you'll get sick of the dynasty and it will become too much work.

The votes have been interesting and helpful. My only concern is my dynasty will be held to the same standard some others are... and that's not really what I'm going for. I have the utmost respect for what people have put together... and compared to the others out there, mine doesn't deserve a 10. I think between an 8 and a 9 is right where I ought to be.

But overall the feedback so far has been quite helpful and I thank you guys for checking out my dynasty. Keep an eye on it, I'm going to get the Bucknell game done tonight.

To tell you the truth, I would only give you a 7 or 8, but no 9. It's good, but not as good as you make it out to be.

Although I haven't voted, I'm still reading.

I think if you compare my dynasty to others that are mostly text-based and more writing intensive, it does well. It's not a 10 by any means, but put next to some others that are just writing with a bell here and a whistle there, it compares well. That's the comparison I'm looking for. I guess even if I don't want it compared to the visually intensive ones, it still will be, because that's the nature of the beast.

I don't know why this isn't getting noticed. This is without a doubt a top five NCAAB dynasty, but unfortunately, I don't think those dynasties get much recognition. Anyway, I see you added a layout. Layouts are fine, just make sure that you keep up with the writing. Don't let the layout take your focus off of your recaps. Keep it up, this could be one of the best.

Yep it is my first. Thanks for the kind comments. I noticed in your review, you made a comment about the record being high for HC. They've won 18 games 3 of the last 4, including 20 in two of those years, plus they're 15-5 this season with 7 regular season games to go. So being 20-4 now (with updates to come on the site) in the game isn't all that unrealistic, at least lately for the program.

I think after I finish this season with HC I'll take up another game and start up a dynasty. I'm stuck between Madden or NHL though. Might be NHL since we're looking at the lockout.

About you thinking of starting a diff dynasty in another sport, I would love to see an NFL one from you. The section hasnt been to busy lately, and hey its always fun to read all the NFL dynasties. Hope you decide to start one in the future.
