I ran into a little problem in my Marquette dynasty, which is why there haven't been any updates for awhile. I was playing pretty far in advance of my updates, and for some reason there were a couple times when I played two games in one day. The first time went by fine..I didn't have any problems with it. But the second time, I played the Georgetown game, but when I got back to the schedule, it wouldn't let me sim the game against Coppin State or even let me sim to the next day, because I still had a game to play. I've tried everything I could think of the get around this "bug" in ESPN, but to no avail. If anyone knows of anything I can do to to fix it, I'd like to know...if no one can find a solution, then I guess I'll just have to restart to dynasty and lose my kick-ass recruits

It's a lot easier to get good recruits with Marquette, a school that went deep into the tourney very recently, then it is to get them with somebody like UIC. Anyways, you need to pick a few recruits you desperately want that have medium interest or so. Then, use every option on them weekly. That's how I get my recruits.

With Marquette it was pretty easy to get good recruits to sign, since they're a fairly prestigious program..to put it into NCAA football terms, they'd probably be a 4 or 5 out of 6. Also, I got a lot of local guys..of the 3 i was able to get during the in-season recruiting period, 2 were from Milwaukee. I'd imagine it'd be a lot harder to get good 3-4* recruits for UIC, since they're still a relatively unknown school (not to mention you're also competing with also Chicago-area schools like Northwestern and DePaul - maybe even Illinois).
Also, since my first game wasn't until two weeks into the season, I spent a lot of time getting a jump start on scouting and recruiting.

Yeah, a friend and I started recruiting as Ole Miss and Providence respectively, last night. It's harder in this game than in NCAA Football to get a guage for these prospects. We spent the 2 weeks leading up to the season recruiting hard and phoned a ton of guys. Honestly, though, we're not sure how it's going to pan out. My friend was suprised so many 4 and 5-star kids were interested in the Rebs at first, but after the 2 weeks was over, he realized they weren't really staying interested. Me, on the other hand, I focused on the 4-star and 3-star guys in my region that had High interest, and I'm starting to move into their top 3 schools pretty well. It's still early though.
I'd like to see someone develop a nice recruiting FAQ for this game, because it's not exactly simple. Maybe we should start a sticky topic on recruiting in here?

I've learned that it's best to save your most time-consuming recruiting methods for the second half of the week, for a couple reasons. First of all, you don't want to restrict yourself to just phone calls and e-mails after Wednesday (this is especially true during the signing periods if you're oh-so-close to signing someone). Secondly, if you just contact someone at the beginning of the week and don't stay in touch with them in the later parts of the week, their interest in you may slip.
I've also noticed how many players you're recruiting at a position influences some of the better players' decisions. As an example, when I was heavily recruiting C.W. Montague at PG (who was a 5 star JuCo freshman from Virginia), I was also going after a 4 star PG from Madison. After I signed Montague, the other guy's interest in me dropped a few spots (I was his number 1 interest, but found myself behind Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan afterwards).

Okay, since there's no real solution for the bug, I've had to delete the Marquette dynasty. Sorry to those who were following it, but I hope you can understand. There's a chance I might start another NCAAB dynasty when I complete the current season in my Denver Broncos dynasty.
