So I am in the Tournament with Duke. I am like 26-4 or 28-4. I lost in the 2nd round of the ACC Tourny. but I won all of the confrense games except one to Georgia Tech. N.Carolina on the other hand is like 26-2 or 28-2 only tow losses coming from me in OT. Well anyway i got a one seed so did N.C I had to play Delaware and I won like 89-53. I had my subs in the start of the sencond half. So I simmed all the games and I am looking at second round matchups and I see #16 seeded Oakland beat #1 UNC. I was like in shock I couldnt beleive it. Also Maryland #14 Beat #3 Kansas..... I think it was KU. What are your thoughts on this also on ESPN or NCAA MM 05 in the tournament have you ever had any big upsets like I did??

#10 Oregon got to the NCAA Finals in the third year of my Albany legacy in ESPN. In that same tourney, I played a #11 seed in the Elite 8.
I've also seen #1's upset in Round 2 and schools like Kansas being a #8 seed...they played #9 UNC lol.
ESPN doesn't usually have an abnormal amount of upsets, though.

I love upsets...they make Tournaments exciting, no matter what sport...but #16 Oakland over #1 UNC (conspiracy that they played each other in the first round with the same seedings this year) is a little unrealistic, maybe, but like I said I want an NCAA game when I get my PS2 within the next month, because taking a team through the NCAA Tournament sounds pretty fun to do.

Oakland beating UNC may be unrealistic, but a #16 is gonna beat a #1 eventually. Fairleigh Dickinson played Illinois close this year, and Delaware State played Duke hard, and didn't Holy Cross almost beat Kansas 2 or 3 years ago as a #16? So, to me, it's not a matter of it, but when.

"Yet" is the operative word. A #15 seed had never won... until they did. Especially with how much parody is starting to come through in college basketball, it's only a matter of time before it happens (and yes, I know #1 seeds are 84-0 against #16 seeds )

I lost lastnight in the sweet 16 vs. Tennessee. They scored with 1.3 sec. left and I just threw it down court the guy caught with 1.0 passed it do the center (i wanted him just to make a layup) he goes up and makes this big dunk but it took so long that time ran out . I was pissed. Now in year 2 J.J Rdd!ck left to go pro . I recurited some good High School kids .

In my first year, #1 Wake Forest beat #16 Oakland Union by 1, but #16 Brown beat up on #1 Oklahoma State 79-59. Upsets seem to happen a lot in these simmed tournaments.
And yes, Holy Cross did push Kansas to the limit in 2002. They were up in the 2nd half before running out of gas and losing by 11. The Patriot League got revenge this year when Bucknell ousted Kansas in the first round, but that was a 3-14 matchup.

It was a lot of fun for me and everyone around Springfield when the Bears went to the sweet sixteen, so sorry about living in the past. We mid majors don't have a lot of success like that.

We mid majors don't have a lot of success like that. The Badgers don't even usually have a lot of success like that lol. This has actually been one of the best years for the Badgers that I can remember..a Top 10 ranked football team (until DB's Spartans came along..ugh) and a Top 20 basketball team that made it to the Elite Eight.

Yeah, after the win over Ohio State at the Horseshoe, then we blew the last game of the regular season, which would of made UW undefeated, and then lose in the Bowl game. The highest ranking they were, I believe #4. They were doing awesome.

A #16 hasn't won yet in a Tournament If you want to be technical about it, a #16 seed wins at least one tournament game a year...the play-in game (I guess it is officially considered a tournament game).
