Fix for auto-generation of new schedule?

I've heard that schedules in ESPN 2K5 usually do not change from year to year...you usually have to change your schedule manually.

I was surfing on gamefaqs.com today and somebody claimed to have a fix:

If you save after in-season recruiting ends, the schedule will not regenerate. Just set a day aside for yourself to play lots of games in the conference tourney and the NCAA tourney (if you make it) and five weeks of recruiting.

I'm still in the middle of my first season (so I haven't tried it), but if anybody tries it out or has anything else to add, please post.

If you turn customize schedules on, then you'll be able to change your non-conference games every year, but I'm not sure if the conference schedule changes every few years or not. The not saving for the last billion months or so in the season also isn't convenient for me, so I don't do it..if I end up with the same conference schedule next season in my Zags dynasty, you'll just have to deal with it.
