Man that area is a hotbed for high rated high schoolers. Oden is from right down the road. Sucks these guys aren't going to Indiana schools.

So what does Luke McRoberts have to do with anything?
McRoberts is good, but I hate him for never even considering any Indiana schools. On the flip side, I have met Greg Oden, and he's a pretty cool guy.
But I hate him for going to Ohio State.
edit: Also, my favorite incoming freshman (from the state of Indiana) is Luke Zeller. Not only did he do the one thing every high schooler dreams of (sank a half-court shot to win the state championship), but he's also staying in state and playing for Notre Dame.

I saw Zeller play in the Derby Festival. Didn't do a whole lot to impress, but I don't put much stock in all-star games either. Of course, on the flip-side, all the UL fans are raving over Terence Williams now because of that game.
Anywho, back on topic, yes I've heard of McRoberts-kind of hard not to with all the Duke-hyping that ESPN does. I believe he's already slated to start at PF for them?

Zeller is ok. He's a top 100 player, but Mike Brey doesn't handle big man development very well, so unless Brey is out the door in the next couple years, we won't see big things out of Luke.
I am excited about Ben Allen for IU, though. An Australian version of Dirk Nowitzki. And Cem Dinc is a find, too. A 6-10 SG/SF will really cause some matchup problems.

I saw McRoberts at the dunk contest and Mickey D's game. From what I remember of that game, it was basically all Duke and UNC recruits. I can't blame McRoberts for passing up Indiana schools when someone like Duke comes calling. As much as I love the Badgers, if I had the chance to go to a place like UNC or Kansas and was good enough to possibly go pro, I'd go without hesitation. Wisconsin is supposed to have some good freshmen coming in, but I don't really know a lot about them. I do know that Marquette is starting to steal a lot more kids who are looking at UW now just because of the move to the Big East, though. Marquette got a verbal commit from a kid in this area last year and he was only a sophomore, but he's a 6'2 point/shooting guard already, so he'll end up about 6'4-6'5. He had Tom Crean and Bo Ryan coming in and watching games, and I think he was getting scouts from Michigan State watching his games, too, but he chose MU because of the move to the Big East and the chance to play at MSG...UW can't exactly compete with that. rivalshoops.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?pr_key=30328&Sport=2There's his Rivals page...says his college choices were MU, DePaul, Iowa, Kansas State, North Carolina, Northwestern, Stanford, Washington State, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and Northern Iowa. I can't look at the other stuff on the page since I'm not registered, but I can say that he transferred from his tiny Melrose-Mindoro High School to a private school in LaCrosse that won the state title a couple years ago, just so he could get better competition in preparation for his move to Marquette.

My best friend goes to Duke. I despise Puke. However, McRoberts is good. If Paulus can give them solid PG play they should run away with the ACC seeing as UNC is depleted, Maryland is in disarray , Wake is weakened, and BC isn't ready to compete yet.

I'm watching Duke on tv now and they started two of their freshmen. They started McRoberts and Paulus and both look solid.
Did you see that alley-oop!

I'm holding out hope that someone will step up and pummel Dook this year. Maryland swept them last year, but of course evened things out by losing 3 times to Clemson. Hopefully Wake isn't so lost without Paul that they can't give Dook a run for their money. If Maryland can get a PG who can play then maybe they can hurt 'em too. Here's to hoping Dook falls on their face, those little *****s.

Ya, i saw him on SportsCenter a few days back when they were talking about the Buckeyes recruiting class, and they showed one of his game highlights. Watch out the world of basketball, this kid is amazing.

Here's to hoping Dook falls on their face, those little *****s. Not to go off-topic here, but I think Maryland can beat Duke Terps. We have had their number for the past couple of years now, ever since after that 10 point comeback in a minute left thanks to Jay Williams, and the 22 point wasted Final Four lead, we have won most of the games after those. Losing to Clemson three times was just pitiful, that damn Ford kid killed us. Thats because we have nobody big downlow, I mean Gist and Ebekwe weight what, 100 pounds? The only guy we have with size is Bowers, and he's terrible. He's a big softee, hell ive seen little girls fight harder for things then he does for rebounds. Anyway, enough of my rant. Good victory over Boston College last night, but I figured we would beat them. Though I will say, thank god Craig Smith fouled out, and the ending with the inbounds passes was just terrible. They got their first taste of ACC from the right school, and hopefully Duke gets their first taste of an ass-kicking from the same school. ;D
