Why you can edit their names to be perfect just like in real life, but they cant put them in automaticly for you. I know the reason why they cant but it doesnt make sense that they are inputed into the game but they cant just name each player

NCAA regulations prohibit players from getting any financial gain by having their names or likenesses in games, on cards, on jerseys, in ads, etc. If players' names appeared in the video games, they would legally have to be paid at least some amount of money. Since it's against NCAA rules, developers can't put player names into the game. There's no violation in putting names in a large database like CHoops does, though, since there's no real way that the NCAA could accuse them of breaking the rule, because players don't have their real names at the start of the game.

But Jami is telling you why, if their not naming the individual players than there is no wrong in doing so.

I know the reason why they cant but it doesnt make sense that they are inputed into the game but they cant just name each player I'm guessing what ASM is talking about it the sure point of the edit function in the NCAA games, why do WE need to do it in the program? Well, the developers can't place the real names in of the players but who says WE can't as users and there is nothing wrong in placing an edit feature in NCAA games because there is nothing in the rules that says users cant place rosters in a game. The one thing a game can do is make players as realistic to the people playing now with physical features and other attributes in the game related to the player. It might be a hassel or might take a long time to do this but doing so but it can be done with some group of people who want to do it. |2uff

You can't name the players, the NCAA prphibits it.
But if we choose to name the players ourself, from a database that just so happens to include almost every division I player on scholarship, then it's all good.

Not to mention that if you're a lazy Jew like myself, you can download rosters from various sources to save you the time of having to type the letters "ad" to get the name Adam to show up and press enter and repeat the cycle for every player...
