Perennially may be taking it a bit too far. But when they had Kareem Rush, weren't they supposed to be contending for National Championships? Quinn Snyder gets Mizzou into the Sweet 16 as a Cinderella and suddenly everyone started with the "watch how great Mizzou will be!" claims that never came to life. Then again, this is all being said by a fan of a team that is just as streaky.

Good basketball is not clanking two free throws that would have won the game. I guess people that go to either of those schools can get pumped up for unranked teams, but just because a game is close doesnt mean its good.

They went to the Elite 8 in that year you mentioned, led by Rush and Clarence Gilbert. They faced a loaded Oklahoma team, and lost by just a few points. And I'll be the first to admit that Mizzou is quite streaky. Beating Oklahoma at their place, I think they were 19th at the time, and then losing to Colorado at home on a last second shot? It should have never come down to that. IMO I don't think Snyder is the right guy to lead Mizzou at this point...I think when he came to Columbia he had all kinds of expectations to live up to, coming from such a power like Duke. In addition, he had to follow a great one already in Norm Stewart. I think even with a good season, it might be time for a change after this season.

A senior shouldn't miss two free throws when he only had to make one to win the game. But just because you think it's bad basketball doesn't mean it's not exciting. Like Jami had mentioned previously, it all comes down to who you root for, but I'm quite positive that you already know that.

BB remember those days of Gilbert, Rush, Arthur Johnson, Stokes. They were good days except we never executed to the fullest extent.
