I should watch this then again last time i got hyped to watch a MU game it was the Illini game and that was ugly. I miss the glory days when both teams were loaded, when I lived in Missouri I always loved to try to get tickets to those games when Norm was on the sidelines.

Kevin Young's new nickname is Big Jamaica (copyrighted by me) Giving someone a nickname and copyrighting it doesn't make any sense dude. A nickname is made so everyone can call that person that and by copyrighting it your destroying the whole meaning of a nickname lol.

Yay for sloppily played games between two unranked opponents. More exciting than any Badgers game I've seen on TV.

Yay for sloppily played games between two unranked opponents. As opposed to a sloppily played game between 2 ranked opponents like nova and ut.... even I was screaming at barnes to let me go in and chuck up a few 3's... :-)

man I didnt think people cared about games between unranked teams that much. I caught a few seconds and saw the Kansas guy gag at the foul line, then got bored.

You're used to having over half the teams in your conference ranked. Just because teams aren't ranked doesn't mean that the game doesn't mean anything. Missouri-Kansas ranks right up there with the Tobacco Road rivalries, not to mention it is also one of the oldest rivalries in the entire NCAA.

The KU-Mizzou games are big for the people who cheer for those teams, and that's true for a lot of college basketball rivalries. Just because I'm glued to my seat watching Wisconsin/Michigan State or Wisconsin/Illinois doesn't mean anyone else cares, especially if both teams are unranked. I'm not saying that it wasn't a good game in the second half, since it's hard for an overtime game to not be good. It was just hard for me to keep interest in a game between a horrendously underachieving Kansas team (at this point they don't deserve to make the NCAA Tournament, but they will just because they're Kansas) and a perennially underachieving Missouri team. Different strokes for different folks.

Different strokes for different folks. I wouldn't call Mizzou perennially underachieving, but emphasis on underachieving, for both teams, at least for KU this year, and the Tigers for the last two or three seasons. Aside from that little rant, you hit the nail on the head. It does come down to who you want to watch, and that's it. Everyone has their team or teams they root for. I only said something because I just wanted to bring up that tidbit of information. It wasn't to insult anyone at all. Carry on.
