Could someone please explain why these two are playing each other tonight? Are they like battling for the 16th seed or something, and then the winner of that will play Villanov?

Yes, they are playing for the last spot in the tournament.

Um, who cares?
And sep - since when did the first 5-10 minutes decide a game? 8 point defecit? That's not bad, one 6-0 run and you're within a basket.
See, now it's 14-11. Never judge a game by the first 5-10 minutes.
...I still don't get the play-in game. Can't we just have 33 at-large bids instead of 34?

I'm dead serious, I got 20 bucks on Monmouth... You might have a slight gambling problem. The only thing I have on this game is a single point like all the other round one games. I have Hampton in the one I have going on with friends, since I had no clue about either team. It really doesn't matter, since I won that contest last year by picking the wrong team in the opening round anyway.

So I believe I am entitled to judging a game after 20 mintues. Monmouth up 35-20, domination.
