Today's been awful for me. I went a lot bolder with my picks this year, in part because all of my legitimate pools featured huge amounts of people. I figured playing it safe isn't going to get me enough to win, so I made dumb picks, and have seen my hopes dwindle.

Rule number one of doing brackets - Keep it stupid, simple.
Don't get too upset happy, or you're screwed early. With that said, Pacific nearly screwed me over 2 hours into the bleeping tournament. I now know the best I can hope for is 3 in the Final Four, because there's no chance in Hades of BC getting there. Thank God there's going to be a week in between their game against Montana and Nova, assuming they can even get that far.
Edit: Anyone care to explain why Indiana is actually playing good? Where was this in the B10 tourney? What happened to scoring 15 points in the first half against Wisky? I'm getting a bad feeling that IU will screw me out of this game and then somehow beat the Zags in the next round, which would royally screw me over. Can we please get the Mike Davis the rest of the Big Ten outside of Bloomington knows and loves back? Please?

I generally don't worry too much about a first round game performance Jami. Pacific plays a style that BC isn't totally accustomed to. So they were able to pull it out and they'll play a 12 seed. Now beating Nova may be tough but eh, I hope they do it.
Second off, I have a habit of picking my brackets on a whim for these pools and in some I'm dead on and in others I'll change some things and mess up. This DC one wasn't great but my bracket over at Maddenmania and at school is doing pretty well. Have not lost a team that wasn't suppose to lose next round anyway.
All I have to say now though is I could really use an A&M win over the Cuse tonight an Michigan State to put on some magic.

IU down at the half. There's the underachieving team I've come to depend on choking for the past 5 years.

San Diego State looking good at the half, lets go SDSU! Thats the only upset i need for the rest of tonight. Syracuse, Duke, and Washington
2nd place (with 9 other players) on Yahoo right now with 9 points ;D Jami, MTROY, and Hoosier are tied for first.

Not without a scare. GW, BC, Gonzaga, and Tennessee certainly didn't do anything to help my sanity. Right now it looks like the Cuse is playing like garbage....they're probably just as tired as BC is.

Texas A&M have been playing with a lot of hustle tonight. They have just owned the Orange with rebounds. I will say thank God for MMOD, as I would be stuck with Duke/Southern right now if it wasn't for that.
Oh and Go Aggies!

10-0 run to put Indiana up by one! Yay! I was beginning to lose hope.

I just want to thank Syracuse for ruining my bracket. I had one loss...and I picked 'Cuse to go to the Sweet 16. So what happened? Gerry Mac decided not to play tonight. Literally...he didn't have a single field goal.

Good grief, not one but TWO 12-5 upsets today.

I saw McNamara's fall coming. He was just physically and emotionally drained from the Big East Tournament.
Oh, and I'm not at all stunned by multiple 12-5 upsets. A few years ago there wer 3...there's usually a couple every year.

This Indiana game is shaping up for another classic finish.
One of the most amazing basketball days I can remember. Well, since last year's tourny at least.

I'm still in good shape...I mis-fired on Seton Hall and Marquette...but I didn't have either one past the second round, so I'm ok.
I'm now rooting for A&M, even though I picked them to lose.

Their a team that struggles against bad teams, but comes out and beats North Carolina the next day. They always play to the level of their opponent, rather than the level of their own capabilty.
