Does anybody else think this years tournament is very weak compared to last year? The top teams this year are Duke and UCONN. Duke isn't as good as last year, relying on their freshman quite a bit and UCONN plays only when they feel like it. North Carolina and Illinois from last year would probably walk through this tourney nearly untouched.

This tournament is more exciting though, and that's all that matters.

Would you rather see blowouts or close upsets?

There's no clear-cut favorite, and that's great, Any one of 5 or 6 teams could win. I love it.

Last year's was too easy to predict. I had 3 of the Final 4 right and nailed the Championship game...this year, I'm actually interested in the games because no team is storming through the brackets. You're right in saying that this year Illinois and UNC would've walked through the brackets, but they did that last year - there were what, like 6 first round draft picks between those two teams last year? The most any team will have in the first round this year may be 2, depending on whether or not the UConn guys get drafted on potential or on what they did on the floor.

I agree.. there isnt one clear team that can dominate the field and its wonderful to see George Mason and Bradely go to the Sweet 16 like they did. The only think I hate about this year is my braquet (hahahahahaha) |2uff

I seriously want Duke to go the Final Four, even if it means beating Texas. I'm not fanboying, but I believe that it's Duke's year. Granted, they have a weak bench and they're basically a two man front but you ever get the feeling about how the 92' Duke team was the same way. Granted, Bobby Hurley was a stud at the point, but the big man and SF/SG combo is still a Duke legacy.

I don't know what you all think, but I seriously think within the next decade, some small school from a mid-major or small conference will sneak up and win a title, if not make a Final Four. Mark my words. Just seeing the number of low seeds in this Sweet 16 makes me wonder about that notion.
