Good hire...the Big XII should be interesting with the additions of Huggins, Anderson, and potentially Sean Sutton (if Eddie doesn't come back) to the coaching ranks. Maybe someone other than OU, Texas, and Kansas will get some attention.

Apparently, they are also discussing the future of Mike Alden. Mizzou would also be wise to get rid of him while they are in the process of hiring Anderson. It won't have any effect on him if they get rid of Alden too.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and don't forget about McDermott at ISU. He should have them turned around in a year or two, and the Big 12 North as a whole is looking stronger coach-wise.

I think Eddie still hasn't retired he won't make that decision for awhile. I like the Mike Anderson hire about time they got a decent coach. Should make Norm Stewart happy. I also seen they decided to keep Aldren which in my view could be a mistake. Unlike Quin, I am sure coach Anderson will be a lot better in recruiting, atleast if he needs some short term fixes he can pluck kids from the Juco area, very talented Juco teams in Missouri that send tons of kids to D-1's every year too bad Quin never got any of them.

Alden needs to go, plain and simple. He's overstayed his welcome. I would say no later than the end of this upcoming football season, and he's gone. As for Anderson, I'm hoping he will bring some or maybe all of his recruits he had going to UAB, as apparently it was one of their better classes in recent memory. His style is definitely a needed change, a shot in the arm, so to speak.

I am sure he will bring in a suitable class to Mizzou. I hear a couple of rumors floating around this area that he may be able to land disgruntled guard Rico Tucker from the Gophers. He wants to play for a faster paced team. I have no clue how he nevered started at Minnesota, lighting quick, and unreal hoops for his size. I see him as a good fit if that happens, but he may head back to the west coast where he is from. The schools I am talking about I hope anderson looks at is Three Rivers Community College, and Moberly Community College and Mineral-Area and SMSU-West Plains. Three Rivers is led by a great coach who has close to a 1000 wins in the JUCO ranks, also that school has athletes, (Feed My Children Spreewell started his career there.) Very quality programs that would be able to give them quality athletes that could help the program in the short term.
