I see this being a non-conference suspension in the same way Brent Petway was for Michigan. Expect Jarrius back after Christmas or so, when Knight said "possibility that Jackson could return to the team at a later date", I have a feeling of what that means.

All I have to say on this topic is that Texas A&M is ranked #12 and higher in some other polls. We go from 87th to 12th in one season. Projected second in the Big XII and now that Jackson is gone, no problem handling Texas Tech. Proof: www.collegehoopsnet.com/preview/2006/012.htm

It seems like they have A&M projected to go beyond the Sweet 16. Isn't that shooting a bit too high?
I do hope they win the Big 12. I'm tired of the beakers winning the conference every year.
EDIT: Brandon Rush for Big 12 Player of the Year???
He won't hold a freakin' candle to what his brother did at Mizzou.

Yea, I think they might be giving us a little bit too much credit, but we did nearly beat LSU, lost on a last second three and this year the Big XII is kinda down. So Kansas will win, but Texas and A&M I beleive will be fighting for second and maybe OSU. I really wish A&M could've beat LSU last year and they would've played Duke. That would've proved how good they really were.
This year we return one of the most dominant big guys, junior Joseph Jones, and we have like the #1 PG in the big XII, Acie Law IV. Then we've got some great perimeter shooters and we picked up a complement big man in the offseason so we're looking pretty good. I think this off-season we averaged like 3.8 stars/recruit and the year before like 2.6/recruit. So we've got a whole different level of players coming to play for A&M now.

This is a great year for a team like A&M to step in when some of the traditional powers such as OU are down. Tech will lose a lot with Jackson gone, but they are still at the very least an NIT team, without him that is. Oklahoma State looks solid, and K-State might even sneak in (who would have thought, K-State in basketball). I don't see Huggins going more than two or three seasons there. He'll get in some sort of trouble, I can see it already.
Missouri could surprise some people. They won't finish real high, but should finish 8-8 at best in the league, and an NIT bid is a great goal to have with the youth they have this season. Baylor's in the same boat. Iowa State's under a new coach, and Colorado just isn't that good, and they have the league's most overrated player.
