It didn't come easy. At least he got the distraction out of the way.

We'll see. Knight is showing no sign of slowing down and Coach K isn't even in the top five yet.

Coach K won't pass him. Knight isn't going to quit coaching anytime soon.

As long as Knight coaches 3-5 more years he won't be caught by Coach K, unless Mike decides to coach 15 more years Great job Bobby K! You deserve the record, and all that goes with it, congrats!

Give me John Wooden or Dean Smith for GOAT. Don't get me wrong, I think a lot of Bob Knight as a basketball coach and is probably my favorite guy coaching right now. He just hasn't won a ton of National Titles and had a few down years along with his great ones.

He's had a few good teams out at Tech, but nothing like he had at IU. I'm a big fan of Bob Knight too, just don't see how he's now talked about as the GOAT. He's top five material, but ain't the best who ever coached.

I think he is a step below Wooden and neck-and-neck with Smith. Many compairisons can be made between those two, and lets face it, Knight was doing it with less talent.
