ANN ARBOR -- Michigan senior Lester Abram was arrested early Monday morning in Ingham County after a traffic stop because of an outstanding warrant, Ingham County Police Lt. Eric Trojanowicz said.
The outstanding warrant was issued in Ann Arbor for Abram's failure to appear in court. He was pulled over for speeding at 12:58 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 96, Trojanowicz said. The area is about 20 miles east of Lansing, 45 miles from Ann Arbor.
When Abram was pulled over, police discovered he had a suspended license and no proof of insurance. He was transported by police to Ann Arbor and his Dodge Intrepid was towed.
Neither Ann Arbor nor University of Michigan police would confirm Monday evening that Abram had an outstanding warrant.
Driving with a suspended license carries a fine of at least $200 in addition to the speeding ticket, Trojanowicz said. Abram will face two court dates, in Ingham County for driving with a suspended license and in Ann Arbor for the outstanding warrant.
It's unclear if Abram will face disciplinary action from U-M.
"We're aware of the situation and looking into it," said Tom Wywrot, Michigan's assistant director of athletic media relations.
Hahaha, what more could happen to this program? Luckily for UM, he's not that big of a contributor. Being a senior, he is a leader though. Once again Tommy Amatuer fails to keep his kids under control.

I like calling him Amateur. The program is becoming a joke, how mediocre can one team be for so long? We are a year away from the 10 year anniversary of the last time we have made the tourney.... we need a new coach! Unless he wins the last three games and gets us atleast 2 wins in the conference tourney, then he can stay ;D

So Spartan, I'm assuming MSU won by 100 last night right?? After all, they were playing Michigan for God's sake... That has nothing to do with Abram but it's the only UM/MSU related thread and I know Spartan's always hating on UM

As a Michigan fan (and I dont like basketball so making fun of the basketball program means nothing to me), its just funny to see Spartan silenced after MSU got walloped by UM.

MSU's in the tournament for sure. Michigan's bubble should burst within the next week.
Last laugh goes to us.

I had baseball practice last night and didn't watch. The game was pointless. Neitzel and Morgan both had the flu, and it was on the road. I don't consider UM a rival in basketball anymore. 15 out of the last 18, and it's been 9 years since UM beat us at Breslin.
MSU is in, UM will be in the Not Invited Tournament once again.

Look, last night didn't mean anything to anyone who is a Michigan State fan or on a NCAA tournament committee. The game didn't help us or hurt us, that's why I didn't even tape it.
I didn't expect us to win first of all. MSU is rebuilding. Michigan is not. Michigan is a more experianced team and should have won both games this season.
I don't consider Michigan a rival in hoops anymore. Our rivals are OSU and Wisconsin, and maybe Illinois. 15 out of the last 18 isn't a rivalry to me. People can say all they want about how I am silent after losing and the Umer fans can think they got something last night, but in reality they really didn't. Beat an unranked opponent at home, with their two best players having the flu. Won't get them into the tournament or even get them close. We beat our main rival this year, actually the #1 team in the nation.
I could care less about beating Michigan in basketball this year. Sure if they beat us when we had a good team yes, but this year no.
Michigan is still far away from a tourney bid, and that's that. They aren't going to go anywhere with Tommy Turtleneck at the helm. MSU has overachieved in a rebuilding year, and UM has underachieved once again. It's that simple.

You sure throw around the term "rebuilding" a lot when talking about MSU. I don't know a lot about them, but maybe they are better than just a rebuilding team.

All I'm saying is that for the past five months at least you've gloated about how MSU is superior to Michigan. In one thread awhile back you posted a "prediction" for a MSU-UM game where MSU won by 100+... obviously you're kidding and you are just messing around, but the intent of my original post was just to poke fun at the fact at how you always mess around with Michigan and how bad they are compared to MSU, and they went and gave your boys a bit of an asskick the other night. Nobody is saying UM is better nor are they saying if they played again it would be the same outcome. Why you're getting so defensive is beyond me.
And just one more thing I'd like to add--and this goes for everyone with a few obvious exceptions--there's no need for you to claim that your team is "over-achieving" and that you don't have a good team this year. You're a D1 school in one of the most competitive conferences in the country. Maybe you aren't up to the highest of standards, but in the past ten years do you obviously think you're team is on a strong decline?

This a rebuilding year from my standards. It's not to you because obviously you don't follow them like I do. We should not have beaten Wisconsin, or even played close to OSU this year, but we did. To me, that is overacheiving. Sure, if you look at the class of some of the players, you might not think it's rebuilding, but it's the lack of experiance, and when you have a good team constantly, this year is a little slow. We were also predicted to make the NIT, not the NCAA. Again, overachieved.
Also, does losing by 11 with two of your best players being weak from the flu an ass kicking now? Just wondering.
I'm not trying to make excuses, all I'm sayin is, the game didn't matter. It wouldn't have moved us up if we won, and it didn't move us down when we lost. That's why it wasn't plastered all over the ESPN front page. If it were up to me, I would have sat Neitzel and Morgan since they were sick.
Those who say that this is no factor, like I have heard this week at school, you are obviously retarded. The flu is exactly why I didn't make the basketball team, because I didn't have the strength to run and shoot. Neitzel and Morgan didn't even practice.
I will always poke fun at Michigan, because that is my style. I hate them and will say anything about them. It's not being cocky, it's just a rivalry. I hate them with a passion that I can't describe.
I just hope the Umer's enjoy this and you guys do to, because in reality, Meatchicken didn't earn a damn thing Tuesday night.
Like I said, this team is rebuilding. You may not think so, but being a die hard State fan, it is. Next year, we have the #3 recruiting class, and we will be fine. I have patience with this team this year. I don't expect them to do anything in the tournament. I'm just glad they got there.

I never really thought of this is a "rebuilding" year. When I think of rebuilding, I think of a team getting rid of all its stars in favor of prospects. This was more of a transition year, some freshman coming in and guys like Neitzel keeping things going.

I would consider it a transition year too, but I am sticking to rebuilding for one reason.
Experiance. Joseph, Naymick, Walton, Ibok, and Suton did not get a lot of time last year with the Big 3. Walton saw some minutes, but not enough. Joseph hardly ever saw the floor and Naymick redshirted. Suton saw a little, but had to split the time a lot.
Neitzel is the only returning full time starter. Say this was another team, yes you would think of it more as a rebuilding year, but after going to most of the games this season, and closely watching the ones I don't go to, this is a rebuilding year, and anyone on the campus of EL would agree.
Maybe it's the fact that I am looking at it from a MSU fan standpoint.
