It was time. Amaker is a class act and put this program in the right direction. I love Michigan basketball, and there is a certain amount of emotion that goes into it. The Amaker years were too business-like and the NIT just wasn't cutting it. He isn't a good in-game coach, and really is a great basketball mind, good in practice, decent recruiter, failed in-game.
If Michigan is willing to pay 900,000 to get out of his contract, they want a change. This is the time to do it, we are losing four starting seniors, next year is a "rebuilding" year - no better way than to start with a new coach.
I want either SIU's Lowey, Xavier's Miller, or Ben Braun. Braun makes the most sense and Lowery is probably the guy that would be the best fit. Interesting to see how Martin handles choosing his new coach.

Beilien (sp) is a good coach. As much as it pains me to say this, Michigan'll be alright.

Rumors are running rampant around here that WVU wants Bob Huggins, and badly.
