I'm not a huge fan of Huggins, but I can't fault the man for wanting to coach at his alma mater. He has wanted to since 2002 when Beilein was hired, but the president at the time hated his guts. Well, he's now the outgoing president of that university, and the job opened up.
What K-State should at least do is let these kids out of their LOI's if they so desire. The only reason why they went there was because of Huggins. Trust me, Manhattan, KS, is a small bump on the map. I just went right through it about a month ago.

Apparently Beasley's reconsidering his commitment. K-State's in a bit of trouble.

This could reach Arkansas-like heights, seriously. This is what happens when your athletic department as a whole puts a man like Huggins over the entire institution. Terrible decision in hindsight when you look at it, but when you're desperate for a winner, like they are, you'll pull the trigger. At the presser, their AD seriously looked like he was about to bawl when at the podium.
I'm just glad that Mizzou passed on him. Apparently it was down to us and KSU, and we passed.

Beasly was committed to UNCC before that SOB Huggins went to KSU. I personally hope that Huggins gets a DUI while driving to his new job.

USC is one of Beasley's likely destinations, along with WVU and a few others. If he went to USC, look out for them next year. With him, Young, and Pruitt, they'll have a formidable squad in the Pac-10.
And OJ Mayo to boot.

Lord.
KSUcks is selling themselves out again. Their Rivals guy reports that assistant Frank Martin is the new HC there, with 27-year old AAU coach Delonte Hill as his main assistant. They're screwed.
They're only doing it to keep Beasley and Walker around. What a joke. Selling themselves out for ONE year with these guys. Pathetic.

If I were K-State, I'd do everything to keep walker and beasley around. The program would develope nicely with those too at the helm. Still, they'd likely leave and I dont blame them.
And Beasley shouldnt go to USC because Mayo wants to be the lone superstar on the team.

Hiring a coach or coaches just to keep a recruit or two is just not the way to build a program, that's putting an individual on a higher pedestal than the team. This is along the lines of the Mustain problems at Arkansas. And look where their athletic program is now. I don't blame them honestly for wanting to keep him, he's a great talent, but he's got character issues, and if they really wanted to save face, they should have dumped the whole staff and started over. They just look like fools for doing this.
