sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2827764Great hire by the Wildcats if you ask me. I know Arkansas wanted him bad, but that entire athletic program (at least the money sports) seems to be in shambles. I'm sure the Aggies are not happy about this, but Gillispe left a pretty good program there and made them a high enough profile job to get a pretty good coach up to College Station.

I really can't say I'm surprised. He agreed to an offer from the Aggies, but he didn't sign upon waiting for an offer from UK or a similar program.

This happened quite fast...last night he was reported as a leading candidate, and this morning he's got the job.
Good for Kentucky, I like him.

Great hire for Kentucky, but I'm a little sad. Gillispie was perfect for the Aggie program being an Aggie and all, but now he gets to coach for one of the most prestigious programs ever. I'm just wondering who A&M will look to hire for their job now, any ideas?

I knew it would not take long for someone to get Pelphrey. He did a great job at South Alabama, and I'm really sad to see him go.
