collegebasketball.rivals.com/content.asp?SID=1146&CID=712658I know it's VERY early, but take a look at some of the teams that have already been mentioned: Southern Miss - 42nd Nebraska - 46th Siena - 55th Saint Louis - 59th Fordham - 63rd Of course, these rankings are subject to change, and will likely change soon, but this is bad even for such an early list. The only reason that Saint Louis is so high is because Rick Majerus is the head coach, and I can count the number of Nebraska basketball fans on both of my hands. Fordham, Southern Miss, and Siena...whoopee doo. I just simply laughed out loud when I read this.

yay, george mason is at 47! Rated HIGHER than Maryland and VCU. We're winning the Colonial this year and going back to the tourney...
MAN, i cant wait till the season starts up. I actually met coach Larrenega and he is a chill guy. Our midnight madness (mason madness) is Oct. 12th.

Personally, I don't understand what makes Rivals such a standout site, Scout is MUCH better IMO.

Personally, I don't understand what makes Rivals such a standout site, Scout is MUCH better IMO. I simply think Rivals puts out lists like this to encourage discussion, and maybe more importantly to them, encourage more to subscribe. I'm not too impressed with Scout as a whole, but the guy that covers Mizzou for Scout - he's made a ton of improvements to the site and puts out free info from time to time, but not so much that it sacrifices what he needs to keep going - subscriptions. I've been thinking about subscribing for a while, and I like Rivals' coverage of football. However, the Mizzou Scout guy does an amazing job. I know for a fact I can't and won't do both, it costs way too much. |
