Any tips on recruiting?
I am starting a dynasty soon and would like to know what I'm doing. It looks very, very confusing. Football is so much easier. This I just feel lost.
Do I have to do the ABL? Will it set me back if I don't? Do I keep emailing them to raise interest?

I haven't played 2k8 yet, but if it's the same as 2k7 (recruiting) then, yes, the emails are just there to increase interest. The max you could get last year was 1 interest per week, but if you did it every week of the year you would end up adding a good 10% or so of interest to the player you're recruiting.

It may be easier... I just am overwhelmed at what to do.
Does the ABL help with interest? I also seem to get a lot of targets I haven't heard of. Is that because it's on assisted?

It's the exact same as 07..
I don't do anything with the ABL, just phone & email every week on top of whatever option it gives you, and offer the schollie ASAP.

Sportsbuck has it right. And yes, it adds targets for you if you have it on assisted.

Why is it that I have 100% interest but I can't get anyone to sign? They always sign with other teams... what am I doing wrong?
I offer them schollies as soon as I can and pay a ton of attention and call them every single chance.

Cause 5 other schools have them at 100% and you weren't #1 on their list.

Where do I see their list to know whether I should keep pursuing them?
I don't want to waste time.
And how many classes deep should I go? Should I get a lot of interest from juniors? Or just focus on seniors?

Well your playing 360 and not PS2 so I cant tell you the exact buttons, but on PS2 you can see their list in their recruit profile or w/e. And I usually go Fr-Sr, because at least on the PS2, you can only contact the Fr-So for one week.

If you wait on Fr and So, will it affect you in the long run?

Or just focus on seniors? With bigger schools I usually dip into the FR and SO classes, especially to get those blue-chip guys more interested as JR's and SR's.

I'm starting my Dynasty over with Davidson, I took a liking to them this season.
