Ok, I have noticed that people have been trying to put pictures in there site that are too big for the spot and they look bad. Just keep the picture ration the same. As long as you know ratios you are okay.

You don't even need to know the ratio between the height and width. In html, as long as you provide a code to just alter the width, the height will automatically size itself accordingly. (Or the other way around...basically, don't state the height and width in your code...only state one of them)
