I think that we should have a DC banner making contest. Someone will think of a topic, and everyone who wishes can make a banner within the topic, and we will vote on who's is the best. Does anyone else think it would be a fun idea, or is it just me?

No. We have to decide what the topic will be first. If you have a suggestion post it and when we have 10 suggestions I will make a poll. Which ever topic gets the most votes in the poll will be the topic that you will make the banner about. Then you will post your banner and we will vote on which is the best, and who ever has the most votes will win. I will make an avatar similar to the ones made for the winners of the MPPT get.

I've had an idea for a DC tournament for a while now. Like four or five events where you can enter as many or as few as you choose. But not just graphics, everything. It could be like:
1. Best Banner (whoever is running the tournament gives the dimensions, the size limit, and the team)
2. Best Sig (a picture would be given to make a sig of a certain dimension and size out of)
3. Best Avatar (similar to best sig)
4. Best Game Recap (a game is simmed. A detailed report is posted. You must write a detailed game recap about it.)
5. Best Magazine Article (playing off the ever popular dynasty magazines, a headline, a team, and a player is given, and you have to piece together a magazine interview/article/whatever from it)
6. Best Layout (Kind of the whole thing put together. A team is given and the first game of the season is simmed. You put together a site from scratch with as little or as much information on the front page as you want. Create a banner for the page, unless you don't feel one is necessary. Write a front page story about the game recap.)
Just an idea. But yes, I'd do a graphic tournament.

That is a good idea, but for this I think it will be easier to stick to graphics. Also the quicker we get the suggestions the quicker we can get this started. Also if you have more than 1 idea post it, but no more than 2 per person.

I talked to Nafsder about this contest, and I have come to a better idea on this. I am going to search through a bunch of photos, and when I find one that I think looks the best I will post it. Then you will have to make a banner or sig from that picture. You may use other pictures, and anything else you wish to make it look good. Only rule is you must use the picture in the banner/sig. I will have the picture posted later tonight, and also a deadline as to when all the banners/sigs must be posted by.

I think you should say if it is a sig or a banner.. it kind of makes the contest even when everyone is going the same type of thing. Also you should put max width and length so no one will go over board with it.
I like the idea and I can't wait to see what pic you put up
