Suppse you had the option to create your team due to the way you run a game. Would you chose a Strong Passer to lead you into victory through the air(ex. Manning), A Strong Runner to lead you into victory with every rushing milestone he reaches(ex. Tomlinson), or Strong Defense that holds together a lackluster offense(ex. Tampa Bay).

defense wins championships. i always love watching teams air it out but it has very little success from what ive seen in real life. anyone can get 1000 yards rushing as long as they stay healthy so why build around a 1500-yard back when you can just get an average 1000-yard back.

When you look at Barry Sanders. They failed in basing a team around a RunningBack, but only because they didn't support a decent cast. Look at Dan Marino, and they didn't suport a decent cast to help out. Defense's do win Championships, sure, if you can stop a team from scoring, all you have to do is score and you win haha.
I'd base my team around a pasing QB, because that opens up the runninggame, and with a decent Defense, you have the game. There's something appealing that makes the NFL the NFL when the QB is the best player in the game. Michael Vick is a tribute to the new era of life, but is an insult to all that's been the NFL up to this point.
There will never be anything better than seeing a QB lead his team into victory. Old shool ass kicks haha.

I chose rusher, but there's an exception. In fantasy drafts, I always go for a great runningback, and then stock up on defensive players. QB's aren't needing to heave the ball 70 yards now that West Coast offenses are being popularized. So I'd like a dominant rusher first, then get an above-average defense, and have an average passer,

I think having a strong D is pretty important. Pretty much with the WC offense, all you need is a solid passer with decent accuracy and a back that can get 60-70 yards a game. If you can get that many yards on the ground with one RB, he'll get 1,000 yds over the whole season (barring injury)
