Well, I'm not great at Madden, but one of the things I do to make passing easier for me is I set the passing mode from quick to normal. With it on normal, I have less accidental button presses that throw it when I don't want to.

When you are playing do you stay up in the pocket or drop back like 20 yards?

Throw lots of easy completions. Curls and screens.

I think the easiest passes to complete are to the TEs. I get a lot of yards w/ my TE because you can send them deep, normally unguarded, or you can send them under the coverage and let them turn it up the sideline for a big gain.

I typically do a 3 or 5 step drop.

I typically do a 3 or 5 step drop. OOO cause I was gonna say if you are like one of those people who drop back 20 yards and expect every throw to be on the money than that would be your problem. I dont know what to tell you. I would just do short routes and if you want to go deep bring in a 3WR set. That is what I do.

What I do is a lot of screen passes and crossing routes. On the crossing routes, though, you have to be sure to lead the receiver and not to throw it right at a linebacker. I also agree with Nafsder that it's usually easier to pass to a tight end, because they have a lot of quick routes that take awhile for the defense to pick up on. If you have a tight end with decent hands, it'll help you a lot in moving the ball.

The key to passing is understanding the coverage againt your pass. Run routes that are physically immposibel to cover(Curls), and confusing routes(cross), If you send the TE to the left or right, he'll catch the ball 9/10 times. A RB will catch the ball 9/10 times.
If you still have problems, up your sliders and down theres. If problems still happen trade a Drft Pick and your QB for Ladanian Tomlinson.
