While I'm enjoying Madden this year, there are some glaring problems with the game I would like to be made known.
1. Offense Line Blocking: Or I should say lack there of. It's pitiful to say the least. They either get off the ball too slow, or they try to hit the second level way too fast. I have had teams bring a three man rush on my six man front with me running with T.J. Duckett and there were four guys in the second level and two of the d-linemen had already broken the line and I was down for a loss of yards. A three man rush should simply never break a six man front that easilly.
2. Super Tackling Corners: How many times have you seen a corner run up and tackle guys like Jerome Bettis and T.J. Duckett one on one. If you play Madden, you see it all the time. Honestly, how does a 5'8" 165 pound man take down a 5'11" 260 pound man nine outta ten times? It just does not make sense to me. However, if you try this action, the oposing back will beat you down. It just does not seem right.
3. More to come later

How about horrible punt return blocking? My blockers always make contact with the gunners for about two seconds while the ball is in the air, and then let them run by while standing there, waiting for someone else to run past them...ugh!!

Punt Returning is terrible, no blocking what so ever. The run blocking can be changed Jake, just mess with the slider a little bit and that will change. Just push it up to an amount to where you feel the run blocking is normal, that what I did.
What about deep ball passing?? I can never complete a deep ball ever, I always have to find the short routes that I can make a big play on. No fly routes work correctly for me. Interceptions are also hard to come by, at least they are in my dynasty sometmes...

Wow I think that the run blocking is pretty good. I can always seem to pick up a solid amount of yards on running plays.

Well I've been messing with my sliders for a while, and even with the ones I have now, it's a ten yard or more gain or a three yard loss. There simply is no real in-between. I may just be use to NCAA's run blocking, which just feels realistic. Oh and I was gonna hit punt returns and other stuff later, now back to the Colts/Pats game.

Gentlemen, here is a fantastic "system" developed by the boys over at MaddenMania. I actually went out and bought the game again because I was interested to see if it in fact worked and it does pretty well. I've been using the Packers and thus far the stats are stacking up pretty well. There are a few adjustments still to be made, but it's getting there. So far this season, Ahman Green has over 800+ yards in 5 games and 12 TD, while Favre has 1200+ yards, 5 TD, 9 Int. I'm 4-1, losing my Monday Night opener to Carolina. My last game against Tennessee was entertaining. Favre had his best game of the season, while Green continued to put up the numbers. I ended up winning 52-27. This was the highest output thus far, but it showed some weakness in the "system". I do find it a bit easy to run. I think Green has had 4-5 runs over 50 yards in 5 games. Maybe it's me, but maybe it's the running sliders that give me a bit of an edge. The thing with the Pack is that they do run out of the Jumbo and T-Form packages, so there is a bit of an overload on some plays. Philly is coming up, so I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks Buffs, I must have missed the boat on this "system" Sure I'm more or a reader than a poster over there, it has given me so much info on sliders and things of that nature. I'd say anyone who isn't a member over there should be and with haste.

I think that the Tackling is garbage they should have it like ESPN where one guys sticks em' and then the rest pile on. That would really help on short yardage, cause whenever you get to that situation whoever makes the intial tackles always throws the RB into the endzone or past the 1st down line. It would just make the game more real. Also, they should make more big hits but with less verocity. Basically, more form tackles that look really good but aren't like jumping 5 yards at the guy and hitting head to head and not getting a flag and the guy not getting injured, I hate that. Also, they should fines/supensions for hits or substance abuse. That's my rant.
