Reality is a big issue here, so I'd like to know what my players want. Keep it a stupid story where Dynasty Central buys the NFL or come up with something realistic.

In the year 1990: The NFL gets too greedy for its own good and the commisioners office, with the backing of several large corporations, offers to buy all the teams to have total control over the league (several sports leagues actually do do this, where every team is owned by the league). The plan to fix (cheat...not fix because they are broken for those of you who aren't the brightest ) the rosters and games in order to make the greatest profit. Despite ruining the integrity of the game, the deals actually go through. Teams with huge followings in huge cities, like the Cowboys, Bears, and the Raiders, begin winning year after year with lineups of pro bowlers while teams with smaller followings and homes, like the Cardinals, Patriots (remember...before their first win of the "dynasty" there weren't that many Pats fans), and Cincinnati lose most of their games by outsanding margins with teams full of underachieving, ageing veterans. Unfortunately (actually, fortunately) the fans begin boycotting the games. After years of bad, staged football, there is the largest emigration to Canada in history in order to watch the CFL. Realizing their mistake, the NFL decides to create a new identity for itself. Going back to its roots, before the 2004 season, it sells each of its franchises, requesting that they retain their city and name. To redistribute the talent, league offices call for a complete player draft. With lost revenue, the commisioners office sells naming rights to the league for a limited time provided that they last two words, "Football League," remain intact. A sports news company by the name of Dynasty Central and owned by Stephen Leon purchases the naming rights for the first year and opts to change the name to the "Dynasty Central Football League" (DCFL). It is uncertain whether the DCFL will return to the NFL after the league offices get back on track or not. Something along those lines work?
