I guess it was about time I wrote something like this, considering the kind of language and behavior that is taking place. For all members of these forums-new and old-please read the following policy that will be enforced strictly from now on. If you do not adhere to this policy, you will be warned ONCE, then banned permanently-no ifs,ands, or buts about it. By registering/posting on these forums, you are agreeing to adhere to the following policy.
FORUM POLICY
1. All members are required to respect each other and members of DynastyCentral.com.
2. Inappropriate language will not be tolerated. Masking inappropriate language by using alternate characters will likewise not be tolerated.
3. "Flybys" and agenda posts will be removed. A flyby is a post that is controversial in nature where the intent for the post is nothing more than to start an argument. The creator of the flyby usually stops by long enough to stir controversy, but is not seen again to defend his/her position. The agenda poster is one who creates a controversy for the sake of starting arguments. The agenda poster is one who is generally only seen when he/she is, in fact, creating controversy. An agenda post can also be one where a brief open-ended statement is made where no structured argument is used. As an example, one agenda post might be, "When are we ever going to find a coach that can recruit?"
4. Our message board allows for posting pictures and links to articles. However, reproducing copywrited material is not permitted. Anyone who posts a picture should do so only if they own the rights to the picture or have permission from the rightful owner. Each individual poster accepts responsibility for his own posts. All links and photos must be relevant to the subject matter.
5. Obscene and pornographic or otherwise inappropriate or immaterial photo's or posts will be removed and the poster is subject to be banned permanently.
6. The administrator (Stephen Leon) and moderators have the right to remove any post at their sole discretion if, in their judgment, they feel a post is inappropriate or violates a guideline or otherwise is determined to be outside the "spirit" of our message board community.
7. You may hold any opinion you wish, but you must express it in a manner that is clearly within the spirit of civil exchange. If a debate begins to turn ugly a moderator may, at his/her discretion, remove the topic and its replies.
8. Posts which are created must have relevancy to the subject matter of the forum, i.e. basketball posts go on the basketball boards, football posts on the football boards and movie topics go on the Off Topic board.
9. Considering the real-time nature of this bulletin board, it is impossible for us to review messages or confirm the validity of information posted. Please remember that we actively monitor the contents of posted messages, but due to the volume we cannot read every message and can therefore not be held responsible for he content of messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message.
10. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this BB or any entity associated with this BB. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact me immediately by email.
11. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately.
12. You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this BB to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by this BB.
13. Although this BB does not and cannot review the messages posted and is not responsible for the content of any of these messages, we at this BB reserve the right to delete any message for any or no reason whatsoever. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages.
14. Please note that this is a Dynasty Central fan site designed for use and enjoyment by Dynasty Central fans. Fans of other sites are encouraged to participate in discussions on our community message boards. However, realizing this is a Dynasty Central fan site, those posts which are deemed to be disrespectful to the Dynasty Central members, will be removed and, at the sole discretion of the administrator, the creator of those posts can be banned from further participation on the site.
15. Please note that advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are inappropriate on this BB. Self-promotion of one's business, profit or non-profit, or website is forbidden unless pre-approved by the administration of the DynastyCentral.com in advance. Promoting websites competitive to DynastyCentral.com is also forbidden.
16. DynastyCentral.com allows "signatures" on its message boards. Pictures are allowed within the signatures provided they are small and subtle. All pictures and text provided inside a signature must comply in full with all rules on this regulation page. DynastyCentral.com reserves the right to ban a signature at its sole discretion, at any time.
While DynastyCentral.com is made up of a community of fans, and cannot possibly control or assume responsibility for their actions, we can use our best efforts to educate and communicate the following guidelines to its readership.
If you suspect that a guest or member of this board may be violating one or more of the compliance guidelines in this document, please notify me at mail@dynastycentral.com.
Hopefully, this clears up any confusion. As of now, I and bamarulz2020 are the only forum moderators. I will probably be selecting more as time allows, but I haven't made any definite decisions yet. And no, I'm not taking applications at this time for moderator positions.
