Hey Berman, I believe you confused Gandy with Mike Williams (selected 4th overall in the draft in 01 I think). I don't know enough about Gandy, but I know Mike Williams is the biggest bust Buffalo has had in a while, and that's saying something... he was benched during this season and finally released for the record...
And yes Berman, I know I'm a genius with the way I handled trading down and making a great pick. You may continue to praise my simply amazing moves in this draft while you add another 15 pounds... and if you refuse to do so, I (Ralph Wilson Jr.) will challenge you in Celebrity Boxing...

I think McNeal has got potential... McNeal's good, but Jacobs would play circles around him... Carry on.

I'm starting to wonder if some GM's are just randomly flipping open a draft magazine and taking the first guy they see. Bing and McNeal were mistakes.

*Paul Tagliabue steps to the podium.
"At this time, we have a trade..."
*Crowd screams cause something happened.
"The Miami Dolphins trade the 16th Pick in the 2006 Draft along with Runningback Ricky Williams to the Denver Broncos in exchange for Cornerback Darent Williams, Safety Shaun Brandon, Quarterback Bradlee Van Pelt and the Broncos 2nd Round Pick.. The Broncos are now on the clock."
[Several Minutes Later as if the Broncos had the slightest idea who they traded for]
*Paul Tagliabue shows up again...
"With the 16th pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos select Vernon Davis, Tight End, out of Maryland University. The Minnesotta Vikings are on the clock."

No, DeAngelo Williams was already taken; not DeAnglo DeAngelo Williams! Notice the additional name thrown in there.
D.D. is a halfback from Memphis University as D3 school who entered the draft as a joke!

I'm starting to wonder if some GM's are just randomly flipping open a draft magazine and taking the first guy they see. Bing and McNeal were mistakes. I haven't. I have watched McNeal at A&M for two years now and I have repeatedly thought he has potential... I don't know why...

I know why you took Reggie McNeal. Because with all the available quarterbacks in the draft you took the most likely to be succesfull with the Baltimore Ravens. When I look at Charlie Whitehurst or Brodie Croyle, I see another Kyle Boller who was good but still unsuccesfull with loads of talent around them.
Reggie McNeal by himself put Texas A&M on the map, and who's his coach? Dennis Franchione. Maybe some people will disagree and think you opened a magazine and took the first name but its time they open some books and read haha.
Plus, the man could backup at Wide Receiver and Free Safety for heavens sake, he's a less faster stronger armed Antwan Randel El.

Yeah, he has "potential", but he's had "potential" for four years at A&M, and never really put forth that potential into a solid season that was worthy of mention. It didn't help his team went 5-6 this last year and missed a bowl.

Texas A&M has been on the decline since the 1980's and it's been just recently that they've climbed back into people memory. He's thrown for just under 7,000 yards 44 touchdowns and 23 interceptions in 3 and 1/4 years not to mention ran for 1884 yards with 15 touchdowns. This all while trying to run an Iformation balanced run offense there accustomed to in Texas A&M.
To say he's done nothing is really saying something, because if I remember correctly Jay Cutler hasn't put up great numbers or winning seasons in Vanderbelt and he's getting alot of recognition.

Now, I never said he didn't do anything at A&M. I'm not taking away the fact that he was good. He was just a little on the inconsistent side. He threw interceptions at bad times, tended to run too much, and was on the verge of being benched on a few occasions.
Plus, McNeal had all of this hype coming out of high school, and in my mind, didn't live up to it. Jay Cutler, on the other hand, was barely recruited, and well exceeded expectations. I'd rather have a guy who well exceeded his expectations, even if they weren't great, than have a guy who didn't live up to his potential on a consistent basis.
I'm not attacking you or anyone else on McNeal's side, N25, but speaking hypothetically here, McNeal's too big of a gamble. But you are right, he would make a great Randle El-type player. A guy with his kind of versatility is hard to find, and who knows, he gets with the right coach, right system...he could turn out to be better than expected.

With the 17th pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings select Laurence Maroney, Runningback, out of the Minnesota University.

Son of a Viking, I had Marooney at 22. That sucks. Can you imagine what'd happen if Marooney ran behind that line in Denver? I guess Ricky Williams will have to do, if he ever comes back from what ever country he's in and they clear up this fiasco about him failing a test.

Denver could plug in my grandma at halfback and she'd run for 1200 yards.

I had Maroney pegged at 21.
