Even though Alexander's the reigning NFL MVP and Larry Johnson has better statistics, they run behind an incredible line that could make average RB's great ones. So with that said, im going with LT. He's the best pass catching back, having 100 receptions in a year, leading his team. And he isnt a bad runner either.

I also went with LT. There are other great backs, like seps said with Alexander and Johnson. LT just brings more of a threat, he can catch the ball, run the ball, and than when you cover those two areas, he will throw one on you. One of the hardest players to cover in football.

LT because its San Diego. nah j/k. As the above mentioned, he is an all-purpose back, he can run up the gut, he can take it outside, and he can catch the screen. Maybe like a Marshall Faulk of his prime (or better)

I don't think I would make a comparison to Marshall Faulk. I am not saying LT isn't smart, but Marshall just knows so much about the game. That is how he has been.

Well I may of went too far, but still, hes a great back, and should continue to be a great back for a while, with his lucrative contract

This is a tough one, but I'm going to go with LJ. LT the last two years, had really worn down as the season went on, while LJ this last year, got better and better with every passing week. Yeah, you can say that LJ didn't get as many touches, but he was still touching the ball 15-17 times a game early on, and LT was getting about the same for the first month or so of the season.

I'm not a bandwagoner. I'm a Chiefs fan. Seriously though, I think LT is a great runningback, but he tends to disappear in big games and against good defenses. He was a total non factor against an average Chiefs defense in the next-to-last week of the season. His offensive line isn't as good as most others, so what he does is impressive. He's also not real big, and takes a lot of abuse. But if you don't think LJ is going to be a good back in this league, you're a moron. Once he learns to lean forward and put his shoulder into tacklers, he's going to be unstoppable. He runs with a sort of passion, a purpose. He runs like every run could be his last. The only knock on LJ is that he's not a solid receiver. LT has him beat there by quite a bit, but who's to say that LJ won't improve? LJ would have been right there for league MVP had he played a full season. LT was nowhere to be found...

In playing all 16 games, but only starting the last 9 or 10, he accumalated 1750 yards, third behind only Tiki Barber, and Shaun Alexander, and he scored 20 TDs, second only to Alexander's 27. It's going to be interesting to see what Johnson can do in a full season as starter, if he starts next season

LT > Larry Johnson > Alexander Johnson may be better as he progresses though. This coming from a Penn State fan so I may be biased...

Jones isn't even the best Running Back in Dallas IMO. Barber has been doing great for the Cowboys, and Julis Jones hasn't done crap this season. If the Cowboys are smart (which they're not) then they would leave in Barber.

You watch a guy play 5 games and do good and jump on him that quick? Theres a reason LJ got critisized about taking diapers off, a reason Edge is released, and a reason why Barber is a backup. Theres no doubt they are all good, but put Jones in Alexanders position and he does just as good against the Rams, 9ers, and Cardinals 6 times a year lol.
