Not really that hard of a choice, Antonio Gates.

I gotta go Gonzalez, because he has been in the NFL longer, and still is putting up great numbers, while Gates is just in his 4th season

What, no LJ Smith? He is not there yet. I voted for Antonio Gates. I feel he has surpassed Tony Gonzalez just a little bit. Both are exceptional tight ends who are a nice target in the passing game of their offenses.

Yeah, but Gonzalez is a target in an offense with no quality WRs, atleast compared to the Chargers. The Chargers have Keenan McCardell, while the Chiefs have people such as Marc Boerigter, Kennie Eddision and Dante Hall. (I'm not saying their bad). I'm not sure if Gates would be able to thrive in an offense with no star power (excluding RBs) like Gonzalez does

Do you really call Keenan McCardell a big time target? He is good, but I think most defense put the safety on Gates instead of McCardell.

As much as I hate to say it....
Gates.
But Gonzalez is a close second.

It's not that Gates is the most talented out there but the plain fact that the Chagers were nobodys without him. He came and opened an offense and that's what I want to have on my team. Simple.
