www.jaguars.com/story/5067.aspIs Boselli HoF material? His career ended from arm injuries in Jacksonville so he wasn't even able to play a down with the Texans though they drafted him in the expansion draft. It's tough to say. He was named to NFL All 90's team playing only 5 seasons of the 10 NFL seasons in the 90's, which is damn impressive. He was one of the most complete tackles I've ever seen play the game. He was a monster, it would be hard for any defensive end to get past him. Boseli was literally impossible to move or get through. But again, he played only 7 NFL seasons. Yes, he was one of the most dominating tackles in that time period, but you have to have to have longetivity as a dominating presence at your position to get into the Hall of Fame. Injuries ruined a would be lock for the Hall of Fame had Tony Boseli played a full NFL career.

Nope. He would've been though.

Too bad the Jaguars' team doctor botched the shoulder operation and ended the guy's career. Had that not happened, Big Bos would still be a Jaguar - they wouldn't have let him be exposed in the expansion draft. He was one of the biggest reasons why they were so good in the late 90's.

They also had a young Mark Brunell, a Fred Taylor at his peak before he got all banged up and such, and Jimmy Smith, being one of the top receivers in the NFL.

They also Keenan McCardell and a young and healthy Tony Brackens, who was a beast. I was a big Jags fan when I was younger (mostly because of Brunell...I liked him ever since he was in GB), and was crushed when they lost a close game to the Titans in the AFC Championship game - I still swear the refs screwed them out of that game. As for Taylor, he was in his first few years in the league when the Jags were making their best runs and when their offense was firing on all cylinders (beating the Dolphins 63-7 in the playoffs, anyone?). He never really got to his peak because of those groin and hamstring problems, which is a shame - he could've had a really special career if it weren't for the injuries. He's still a better back than most teams have, but he can't take as many carries as he used to.

Not HOF material, but if he played 5 more years or so, no doubt a HOF, he is the ultimate example of a "bookend" tackle.
