Should the NFL have cracked down on endzone celebrations in not allowing any props in the endzone?
I say no. If its not hurting anybody let the players have some fun.

I say no, but is it that big a deal? It's the game that matters, not the touchdown celebrations. People are making too much of this, but I do say no.

Why do the NFL owners always trying to get rid of something that attracts the causal fans. Everyone knows that the owners look at the sports in a way to make money, and the celebrations attract the causal fan to the game, or to watch the game. Also its taking away some creativity from the game. Some of these celebrations are so well thought out, and no one would ever see them.
For a WR you dont make the endzone that much, and its a special thing to make it in, and they should be able to celebrate

It is great. Honestly, you are paid millions of dollars to score touchdowns. Do you really need to dance around to hold that over the defense's head? NO. You are scoring a touchdown in a regular season game. That does not deserve a dance. I understand spiking the ball or something of that nature, but to do some of these things is just outrageous. The best TD celebration I have seen is Marvin Harrison's, walk off the field. How about Jerry Rice. Some of the best receivers don't have elaborate TD dances, that is why they are great. It is just annoying to see the players go crazy over something they are paid millions to do.

actually one of the best I've seen is the one where Chad Johnson gets into the endzone and looks really confused and just hands the ref the ball. I thought it was just hilarious.

Anything that takes over 5 seconds should get flagged for wasting time. Sure, it's hard to score a touchdown in the NFL, but you don't need to be taking 30 seconds to imitate Tiger Woods by golfing with a pylon. Do your spikes, your ball-spinning, your stupid Eagle-flap celebration (guess that one's gone for good now anyway)...whatever. But if you're doing something that's obviously planned out, you should get flagged...just my opinion.

I'm all for SOME celebration, but there have been things in the past that I think is just not good to many fans. I can't say I'm in the majority, but I have been watching the game since the late '80's, and I have watched the game evolve over the years. Though I do like alot of the celebration that goes on, when you bring stuff from outside the field for a celebration, that just shows me that you're full of yourself and don't care about the game, or the fans.
I know a lot of you will reply and say that they do it for the fans, but be honest with yourself. Are they celebrating that you are in the stands, or celebrating that they are great and just scored?

No way! I don't care what the celebration is... football is a GAME! It is suppose to be FUN and ENTERTAINING... I think the NFL is getting to serious about some of this crap, football should be fun and they are taking away from it.
