For those of you who are interested, here is Mel's 4-round mock draft. There are some things I don't agree with (Max Jean-Gilles is too fat for the Packers' new zone blocking scheme, for one), but it's got to be hard to put together a 4 round mock. Discuss.

I, as well, just got the Blue Bible today. His mock is always very good, but he had went 6 rounds in the past. Still, its a solid mock draft, easily the best I've seen from any internet sources or magazines.

I think his is good for the Eagles, except the team taking a full back in round 4. I just don't think that will happen. It is nice to see a draft that says the Eagles won't take a wide receiver in the first four rounds.

Thumbs-up from Detroit. Davin Joseph works, and I'd be elated if we can land Huff and Hester.

Hester isn't as good of a defensive back as the ones Kiper has going in the first round. The talk from the scouts is that with Hester you're generally drafting a punt returner that's also a DB project.

This is a stacked year for talent, which is why I'm happy the Packers have the 5th pick...with the 5th pick in the second round you can definitely get first round talent this year. It's already being said that a first round pick next year has about the same value as a middle second round pick this year, so you'll see a lot of very good playesr being picked in the second and even third rounds.

A tight end, another halfback to add to our growing collection, a center, and a linebacker. I'm thrilled.

Who is Richard Marshall? That's who Mel Kiper has the Bears taking at 26, and I can't even find some stats on him. Pretty sad considering his school is only a 45 minute drive away, and one of the 4 schools the local paper covers. (California, Stanford, Fresno State, and UC-Davis)

Kiper must know something we don't know because I have never heard much about him either. He gave him a 9.1 rating and I can't find another site with him going in the first round...

He's primarily a WR.

With that whole "Reggie Williams Sucking" thing they've been playing Jones at WR a lot more than TE.

Kiwi's stock went plummeting downward when D'Brickashaw Ferguson absolutely owned him all week at the Senior Bowl...Kiwi never beat Brick once. If Kiwi can't beat a guy his own age and skill set, how will he be able to handle the league's best tackles? That's hurt his stock a lot, and it wouldn't be much of a shock for him to drop into the second round.

As for Marshall, NFLDraftCountdown has him going at #21 to the Patriots:

Strengths:
Has good size...Excellent athlete with good speed...Has fluid hips and changes direction well...Has good hands and solid ball skills...Exciting player who will make something happen in the open field...Aggressive player who closes quick, will help out in run support and also deliver the big blow...Playmaker who seems to always come through with a game changing play...Still has a lot of upside and potential.

Weaknesses:
Needs technique work and development...Could stand to bulk up a bit...Is better in man coverage than zone at this point...Does not have great instincts...Can do a better job of locating the ball...Doesn't anticipate well...Only started for 2 years.

Notes:
Returned three interceptions for touchdowns in his career and led the Bulldogs in tackles as a junior...Did not get nearly the national attention that some others did but this guy is a great pro prospect...A complete corner with natural cover skills and very few weaknesses who is still getting better...Is still very underrated.

It's not like Kiper has the Bears drafting the equivilent of Ahmad Carroll...chill.

Isn't Kiwi's bad knee also a reason why his stock is slipping? I know he came off of major knee surgery a season or two ago.
