It's a good pick. Carl Peterson wouldn't draft a guy if he didn't think he could help the team either then or a few years away. Damon Huard hasn't thrown but one pass in the past five years, and Casey Printers....um...I don't know. I think they have concerns about what he can do after signing him out of the CFL. It looks like they think Croyle could be Trent's heir apparent.

You mean Day 1 of the Draft is almost over. They've got 3 more rounds to cover after today's happenings.

I'll be shocked if Vick is drafted at all. In college he didn't show anything to prove that he was an NFL player.

Brodie to the Chiefs! That's a BIG surprise... Yeah it is, but I remember hearing that the Chiefs were high on him. Two years (give or take) to learn the system and develope his touch, he should turn out to be a pretty good quarterback for Kansas City.

Hopefully the Chiefs can get two more good years out of Trent before he starts to decline. If what you said is accurate about Croyle, give or take two years, then he should step in right when Trent retires.

The Raiders should've drafted Leinart. Aaron Brooks just isn't gonna cut it.

Don't talk about how the RAIDERS should have drafted Leinart. I can name ANOTHER team that should have drafted Leinart.
I hate Matt Millen. So much.
And I just typed a massive 9-paragraph rant on Matt Millen on another forum, went to post it, and got a busy server message, and lost the whole thing.
It's just not my day.

A ton of other general managers suck. Get over it.

Get over it? GET OVER IT?
Son, the Detroit Lions have sucked since 1957. They have not made the playoffs since 1991. Matt Millen's drafts since he took over have been horrible. He took over a team that had just gone 9-7 and has won 20 some games since.
Yes, there are horrible GMs. But today was simply the pinnacle of suckiness for the worst GM in the NFL today.

well I must say, I like how the Eagles added Chris Gacong. He is the NCAA all time sack leader. He is a defensive end/linebacker. I have heard the Eagles plan to use him as a linebacker. Hopefully, he can see some time and take over for Shawn Barber after his contract his up.

Not to mention getting Bunkley and Justice at #14/39 when we were debating on which one to take at #14. Very solid draft thus far by the Birds.

Thats true. Winston Justice has some attitude problems, but so did Reggie Brown. We addressed all the needs. Offensive/Defensive Tackle, Strong Side Linebacker. I am looking at the roster, and we have youth at almost every position. I really don't know how they will go about the rest of the draft. Should be interesting.

I've heard some stuff about possibly picking up Michael Robinson of Penn State and converting him to a wideout. Bad part is, he's adamant about playing QB and that could ruin his chances of getting drafted today.
I'd like to see them draft a return specialist, though.

A return man would be nice. I would like to have J.R. Reed back to do kickoff returns but I doubt that will happen. Last year, our return game hurt us in some games. Ryan Moats did okay with it, but someone a little better at it would be nice. EDIT: I think Jeremy Bloom is still on the board.

Michael Robinson says that he wants to play QB in the NFL but he is not being realistic. He's nowhere near the level of most backups in terms of quarterback skills. He'd be best suited as a wide reciever and could be used similiar to Antwan Randle El (butchered that). I think he'll go to a team that will use him like Randle El and hopefully he quits being so stubborn.

HOLY CRAP!
Philadelphia moved up to #99 and took Max Jean-Gilles. This draft has been amazing for us thus far.
