I don't see how it's too great of a move. Yeah they're relieved from the cap, but what's a 6th rounder going to do...

Harrington has proved he doesnt have what it takes to make it in the NFL, so there for its a good move.

It'll be insteresting to see how Harrington does with a much better organization behind him. He'll turn into the next Dan Marino getting away from the Lions, that's how bad that organization is.
(Footnote: Maybe not Marino, but the point about the Lions still stand)

Haven't you heard? Matt Millen needs that pick to make another move to piss off the fans.

We don't get POd by 6th round picks. Just the top 3 or so.

We don't get POd by 6th round picks. Just the top 3 or so. Yeah, but thinik about it. The Dolphins might not be much good either. So you could possibly have consecutive picks in the 6th round, like 3 and 4. lol.

They will use the pick to draft a WR.

They will use the pick to draft a WR. OK, that joke is officially worn out.

Because the odds of getting another Tom Brady are AMAZING. The fact that there's only been one great 6th round pick that you can think of compared to the hundreds who you don't know that have sucked isn't exactly great odds in exchange for a starting quarterback, even if he is more of a 3rd stringer...

Tai Streets? As he ever been more than a #3 on a bad reiving core? Marvin Lewis? Unless he coaches the Bengals now, I've never even heard of the guy. Jeb Putzier would have pretty good numbers if his career numbers were for one season. The only reason Taylor even saw time was because of what happened to Jamal Lewis, and he still hasn't even put up numbers that are even 2nd-string worthy.
I'll give you T.J., but look at the other 1300+ players that have been drafted in the 6th round or later. The Lions are better off investing in lottery tickets...
