If you had a team of your own, what would it be like. Kind of like those gay quizes on Myspace. What's your football personality haha. What type of QB, RB, receivers, line, defense would you have? Would your FB be a blocking, running or receiving fullback? Would you tell your DE's to box the offense or rush in?
I guess just a simple question because im curious.....

Think of this as a college attack, because I like college better. Quarterback: Pocket Guy with decent agility. Tailback: Hard-nosed runner. Fullback: Blocking back Wideouts: #1-2 Possession guys, slot needs to be quick Tightends: Blocking guys Tackles: Quick tackles (275-285 pound range) Gaurds: Big ole trucks to run block (310+ lbs) Center: Whoever the smartest guy on the line is. Defensive Ends: Speedy guys to get around the slower tackles. (See Auburn getting 11 sacks against Bama ) Defensive Tackles: Guys to clog up the holes. More like the job of a 3-4 tackle. Outside Linebackers: Speedy guys to run down folks. Middle Linebacker: Big guy to go up and stop the run. Cornerbacks: Again, speed. I want to know that they can catch up if God forbid they get burned. Safeties: The SS needs to be a lumberjack and the FS more of a ball hawk.

Quarterback: Short Range - The Quarterback that would led my style of offense would rely on his short yardage passes to the TE and backfield. Accurate short curls, outs, and slants would be key by Receivers.
Runningback: Between The Hashmarks - The Runningback would be the workhorse of the offense. Though he doesnt need to be big, he'll need enough strength to push his way through defenders in the run game. A time management type runner who seldomly cuts outside, unless his already hit the hole.
Fullback: Dual Threat 3-Back - In seperate situations I would use two seperate Fullbacks. One primarily for his hands and the ther for his blocking. I would use alot of Fullback flats and playactions. Larry Centersisque.
Wide Receivers: Short Range Possesion - The receivers will need to possess great hands and footwork. He'l have to burst out of his cuts to reach the ball and strong enough to take enough beating.
Tight End: H-Back Tight End - This bruising Tight End could play Fullback and even Halfback when needed. Tall, strong and quick enough to create mismatches on both the defensive backs and linebackers. My leading catcher, he'll also need to possess great footwork and a burst out of his cuts.
Offensive Line Hogs - No less than a sum of 1500 pounds, these 5 hogs will need to bulk up to 300 pounds, and more if able. Standing no smaller than 6'5, they will control both the run and the pass in any situation. The real workman. Healthy, but hearty.
Defensive Tackle Giants - A giant space taker, both Defensive tackles must draw extra attention throughout the game. If four of 5 lineman are occupied in the middle, the defense has control of the ground.
Defensive Ends Pass Rushing - Both ends will come off the snap as quick as can be. With no real time to attempt to plan what to do, the Tackles will become occupied, leaving the Defensive Tackles with room to roam in the middle. If planned for, the Defensive Ends go untouched to a mismatched backfield with more bodies behind them.
Outside Linebackers Blitzing - These two outside linebackers will be litzing all days, and at severel points, both at the same time. In run support, in the pass rush, or when they rarely see coverage, they will be speedy aggressors ready to hit somebody or something.
Indisde Linebacker: Captain - The leader of the defense, the inside linebacker will roam his territory in the middle. Speed is a must, as receivers will quickly try to take advantage of his isolation. He must be aggressive and has to play smart, or its up to the backfield to make up for his mistakes.
Cornerbacks Hard Hitting - These corners are quick enough to keep up, but would play safety on many other teams. Not exactly the Cover 2, the cornerbacks will drop back deep severel times and let the safetys roam the difference between the cornerback and inside linebacker.
Safety: Aggresive - Like the rest of the defense, the Safety has to be aggresive for his size. He needs to make smart decisions on the passing game, because they will be loan ducks if not. Never second thinks what hes doing or itll be to late.
Thats my own style of play. A flip-flop version of the West Coast offense with an edited Cover 2 to create a very very difficult team to match-up against.

That's like a perfect team. 16-0 material. You'll never find a team like that.

Quarterback- Mobile Passer (i.e. McNabb, Culpepper) Running Back- A jack of all trades, meaning able to catch passes, and is speedy. Wide Recivers- 1 speedster, 1 possesion Fullback- Hardnose blocking type. D-Ends- Pass Rushers D-Tackles - Big ole' guys who can clog up the middle LB's- Intelligent, don't overpursue CB's- Risk takers. Able to go up for the INT. Safety- Hard hitting, can make a key INT if needed.(i.e. Dawkins)
