I read an article on EASports.com about a revolutionizing idea that might hit the market in 2008 for Madden 2009. All new, Madden: The League for XBOX Live.
EA sports will develop an online game frame similar to that of Halo 2, for online gamers to actually partake in an NFL League. Your not the owner, your not the coach, but actually the player on the field.
First, you'll sign online, and create a player. This will include severel important factors such as your Height, Weight, Number and Position but an endless number of things to make your player uique. From tape on there hands, to facemasks, to shoes, to chains hanging around there neck and facial features unlike any other, you'll have the option to modify your player to look exactly how you want him to look.
Then, you'll take a 40 question test on your position that will evaluate what you know about the game and how your attributes will be distribute. Than, an actual exhibtian game will be played to track your tendencys as a player, mistakes, and mooves you make.
From there, your given your player, with full attributes, and a screen to pick an artificial agent. There will be severel online leagues ran by specific EA sports developers and there staff. There will be a draft that will mix you with the appropriate amount of players per position, and you will be selected on a team.
There will be backups, but will be CPU players selcted after the Fantasy draft, so that everyone playing with have the ability to play. I am sure that that means that an injury might occur to you as an infraction for maybe cursing on the forums or missing a sign in for a previous game. Obviously if your not there for the game, the backup plays. You can loose your team and your player if you dont keep up.
You will be grouped with players from your area, and before even joining, you will sign an agreement that the specific day alreayd dated will be ok for you to play on. I dont know about that.
Anywho.... I can ba a saftey, with a human FS, lb's, cb's and defensive lineman. All playing together online against a group of offensive players. The only thing thats missing, which isnt a bad thing, is that your not aloud to play K, P, or any O-Line positions.
I think that thats a sick idea, and if they really did it, would evolutionize gaming. They'd make so much money.
To bad I made it up...
